ADVICE FROM AN ANT

Biblical Scriptures: Proverbs 6: 6-11
6 “Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:”
7 “Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,”
8 “Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.”
9 “How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?”
10 “Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:”
11 “So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.”
Proverbs 30: 24-25
24“There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise:”
25 “The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer;”
By nature what usually sluggards do?
1. sluggard loves to procrastinate.
2. sluggard does not finish things that he starts.
3. the sluggard is full of excuses.
4. the sluggard makes everyone elses task more difficult.
5. the sluggard will ultimately be disappointed
SPIRITUAL LESSONS WE CAN LEARN FROM THE ANT
1. unity
2. prepare for the future
3. never stop working
4. they contribute something
Lesson Reflections:
Ants are little giants. They are small yet they are unified in doing possibilities to do great things and preparing for times of emergencies. The essence of UNITY among the colony regardless of their status and positions made them victorious in preparing for disasters and crisis.
SPIRITUALLY, we are more essential in the ministry God set for us. We are so special and unique in the Body of CHRIST as the ants. no matter what, we could do great things in His Kingdom if we are responsible enough, function well and be of good stewards of the Manna Blessings (our gifts, abilities, potentials, assets, etc.) as capitals to do GREAT THINGS in our journey till the PLACE OF ABUNDANCE!
