"Reaching your Dreams is acceptable, But not at the point of losing your Soul" ๐ฅฒ
Adulthood. God knows how challenging that season was. Alam Niya kung ano ang palaging tumatakbo sa isip mo. And one of those aspects are about your dreams in life, the urgency to see your own progress.
Kaya nga kumakayod ka sa trabaho, negosyo at pag-aaral kasi may gusto kang marating sa buhay. But I want you to take a pause, to ask yourself if your plans still glorify God?
Recognizing that you're becoming so occupied that you're no longer able to spend time with the Lord.
Seeing yourself chasing blessings but disregarding the source of the blessings.
Seeing yourself slowly dying inside through depression, anxiety, and emptiness because your focus towards your Godly calling was already affected by your lifestyle.
โDonโt judge me, alam ni Lord ang puso koโฆ Hindi ko rin naman kinakalimutan si Lord.โ Well, Iโm not judging you, Iโm just here to ask you to start evaluating your lifeโฆ again ๐
Kaibigan, nakakapagod ang buhay kung hindi kasama ang Panginoon. Pero mas lalong nakakagod kapag lagi mong iniispin na masaya ka kung nasaโn ka pero hindi naman pala. You tried to convince yourself that it's okay to skip church activities because of your busy schedule.
Hindi mo namamalayan na unti-unti ka na palang nawawala sa totoong landas. The genuineness is no longer there because you start to please others than God. You begin to push yourself to be fit in such an environment para lang marating mo ang gusto mo sa buhay.
But howโs your devotional time? Howโs your ministry time? Howโs your fellowship time with your co-workers in Christ?
Finally, let me ask you, How was your heart? ๐ค
Matthew 16:26 โAnd what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?โ
Death is not just about physical death but also spiritual death. Spiritual death is also about embracing and loving your own dreams to the point that youโre too afraid to sacrifice it for God.
I hope that your heart will always learn to obey Him even if to the point in destroying your own desires ๐ค God knew whatโs the best for you, you only need to be still and trust Him. Stop chasing things and slowly killing your soul. Reaching your dreams is acceptable, but not at the point of losing your soul.
Your true treasure is to honor God, to obey Him and to make Him glad ๐ So always align your dreams and goals to Godโs desires and surely He will make it happened at His perfect time.
