“Remembering the Past, Embracing the Future”

Today, the Parish Youth Ministry of St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish joins the entire nation in commemorating the anniversary of EDSA People Power. This historic event, which took place on February 25, 1986, marked a significant turning point in our country's history, as it paved the way for democracy and freedom.

As we remember the bravery and selflessness of our countrymen who fought for our freedom, let us also reflect on our own roles as young catholics in shaping the future of our nation. May we continue to strive for truth, justice, and peace, and may we always be guided by our faith and values.

May God bless our country and our youth!

Ngayon ay ang kapistahan ni San Valentin! Si Valentin ay isang banal na pari na nanirahan sa Roma noong ikatlong siglo. Nang ipagbawal ni Emperador Claudio II ang Kristiyanismo, tinulungan at hinimok ni Valentin ang mga Kristiyano na nahaharap sa martirya sa halip na sumuko sa kanilang pananampalataya. Ayon sa sabi, maging ang mga seremonya ng kasal para sa mga mag-asawang Kristiyano ay ginawa niya. Pagkatapos, si Valentin mismo ang nahuli. Nang tumanggi siyang sumuko sa kanyang pananampalataya at sumamba sa mga paganong diyos ng Roma, siya ay inilagay sa bilangguan. Ayon sa isang alamat, ang opisyal na nagbilanggo sa kanya ay may anak na bulag. Pinagaling ni Valentin ang anak, at ang buong pamilya ng opisyal ay naging Kristiyano.
