Dear heavenly Father, on this Father’s Day, it’s a great joy to affirm that you are the Father we’ve always longed for and needed. The best earthly fathers offer a great taste of what it means to be your beloved children, but they can never be to us what you are. Our hearts overflow with thanksgiving, as we cry with joy today, “Abba, Father!”

Thank you for adopting us through the finished work of Jesus, and for robing us in Jesus’ righteousness and forgiving ALL our sins. Thank you for freeing us from our slavery to sin and our orphan-like ways, and for giving us the Spirit of Sonship, a secure place in your family, and an inheritance that can never spoil or fade.

Thank you for being the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort. Thank you for promising to complete the work you began in us, and for always disciplining us in love—never shaming, chiding, or withdrawing from us.

And Father, thank you for grace to forgive our earthly fathers who didn’t love us as you intended—including those who broke our trust and hearts. Continue to heal us, Lord, help us to love them, and free us to parent to your glory.

Lastly, Father, we thank you for the spiritual dads you’ve given us—the gospel-fathers who help us discover more and more of the multi-dimensional love of Christ. So very Amen we pray, in Jesus’ merciful and mighty name.

Mother’s Day is a sweet opportunity for Christians to celebrate one of God’s most significant means of His common and redeeming grace.

For most, there’s some bitter flavor somewhere. We live in a fallen world. All mothers are sinful—even Jesus’ own mother knew well her need for a Savior (Luke 1:47). Whether your own mother monumentally failed you, or you’re a mother who’s all too aware of how you’ve failed your children, there is goodness and grace to acknowledge and appreciate in almost every situation, even when deeply tarnished by sin.

But for many of us, our hearts soar in thanksgiving when God brings to mind our mothers and grandmothers, or our wife and mother of our children. Among those of us raised in believing homes—in which our parents were faithful in teaching and modeling the faith—we may enjoy, all the more, the priceless privilege of fulfilling Proverbs 31:28 on Mother’s Day: “Her children rise up and call her blessed.”

Happy Mother’s Day to all Mothers in the world!

Today is Easter!

What are you celebrating for today?
Is it bunny rabbits sniffing through tall grass in spring, while the kids excitedly hunting for eggs and chocolates? As we all know that Easter is the happy holiday that’s big enough to mark our calendars with days-off, yet somehow falls short of the grand-scale glitter of true meaning of Easter. Well, Easter is a time to reflect on Jesus Christ’ death on the cross and celebrates His triumph over death. But do we really understand the significance of the atonement?

The death and resurrection of Christ are the cornerstone of Christianity. The Christian faith is based completely on the death and resurrection of Christ. The death of Christ is mentioned over 150 times in the New Testament. If we deny the resurrection of Christ, the whole Christian faith falls apart. As 1 Cor. 15:17 says, “And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is useless; you are still in your sins.” Easter gives an intimate meaning for us as followers of Christ. It is a reminder of Jesus' victory through His death that freed us from the grip of sin and the judgment of sin. The Holy Communion which was instituted by Jesus about 2000 years ago gives us a new meaning; the forgiveness of sins through Jesus’s shed blood for us. When we received Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we received God’s forgiveness! But how do we live according to God's love and this forgiveness towards us that gives us life? By obeying and living according to God’s commandment - to love God and to love others.

Today is a GOOD FRIDAY!

Anyway, let me ask you a question.
What’s good about today when in fact that Jesus had been persecuted, mocked, humiliated, insulted and being crucified?

Well, it has lot of significance— why this has to be happened.

But, let us understand first, as we commemorate the true meaning of “Good Friday”

As it says;
And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Luke 23:34 NIV)
Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” that is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Matt. 27:46 (NIV)

“It is finished.” John 19:30 (NIV)

Lord Jesus, we feel conflicted about calling the day of your crucifixion, “good.” That there had to be a day when you would take the judgment for our sin is not good at all. But that you would freely, fully, and gladly give yourself for us on the cross, is never-to-be-surpassed goodness. It is quintessential, unparalleled “good.”

From your heart and cross, came these two impassioned cries. “Father forgive them” (Luke 23:34) and “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (Matt. 27:46). The first required the second. The second secured the first. Together, they humble our hearts, silence our words, and fuel our worship.

And then there’s the third this-changes-everything cry. “It is finished.” There’s nothing more to be done, concerning our salvation. Once and for all, perfectly and fully, we have been reconciled to God. The Just died for the unjust, the Beautiful One for the broken ones, the Lamb of God for the rebels from God. We praise, bless, and adore you, Lord Jesus.

A million-years-plus into our life in the new heaven and new earth, we will still be filled with childlike wonder and ceaseless gratitude for the gospel. Because you were fully forsaken, we are forever forgiven. Because you exhausted God’s judgment against our great unrighteousness, we now live by the gift of your perfect righteousness. Because you love us so extravagantly, we can love each other with kindness and hope.

We bow our heads in awe, raise our hands in praise, and surrender our lives with joy. So very Amen we pray, in your all-glorious, all-grace-full name, Lord Jesus.

Today is Maundy Thursday.

During a Passover meal with his disciples in an upper room in Jerusalem, Jesus had told them, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another” (John 13:34).

(The word “maundy” comes from the Latin word mandatum, from which we get our word mandate. In the late-fourth-century Bible edition, the Vulgate, Jerome used this word in translating Jesus’s love command.)

On this day we see the following events:

Jesus instructs his disciples Peter and John to secure a large upper room in a house in Jerusalem and to prepare for the Passover meal (Matt. 26:17–19; Mark 14:12–16; Luke 22:7–13).

In the evening Jesus eats the Passover meal with the Twelve, tells them of the coming betrayal, and institutes the Lord’s Supper (Matt. 26:20–29; Mark 14:17–23; Luke 22:14–30).

During supper Jesus washes the disciples’ feet, interacts with them, and delivers the Upper Room (or Farewell) Discourse (John 13:1–17:26).

Jesus and the disciples sing a hymn together, then depart to the Mount of Olives (Matt. 26:30; Mark 14:26; Luke 22:39).
Jesus predicts Peter’s denials (Matt. 26:31–35; Mark 14:27–31; Luke 22:31–34).
Jesus issues his final practical commands about supplies and provisions (Luke 22:35–38).

Jesus and the disciples go to Gethsemane, where he struggles in prayer and they struggle to stay awake late into the night (Matt. 26:36–46; Mark 14:32–42; Luke 22:40–46).

This Palm Sunday, Christians celebrates Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem and marks the start of Holy Week, the final days of His earthly ministry.

During this Holy Week, let us take the time ro think on these things and all that Christ has done. Let’s reflect on God’s great love for us.

The significance of the event is clearly understood by the fact that the circumstance is recorded in all four Gospel accounts.

“And when they drew near to Jerusalem, and came unto Bethphage, to the mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, saying unto them, ‘Go into the village that is just ahead of you, and straightway you shall find a donkey tied, and a c**t with her: untie them, and bring them to me. And if any one says anything to you, you shall say, The Lord has need of them; and immediately he will send them.’ Now this is to happen that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying, ‘Tell the daughter of Zion, Behold, your King is coming to you, Meek, and riding upon a donkey, And upon a c**t, the foal of a donkey.’ And the disciples went, and did just as Jesus had instructed them, and brought the donkey, and the c**t, and put on them their garments; and he sat thereon. And most of the crowd spread their garments in the road; and others cut branches from the trees, and spread them in the road. And the crowds that went before him, and that followed, cried out, saying, ‘Hosanna [save now!] to the son of David: Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.’ And when he was come into Jerusalem, the entire city was stirred, saying, ‘Who is this?’ And the crowds said, ‘This is the prophet, Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee’” (Mt. 21:1-11; cf. Mk. 11:1-11; Lk. 19:29-44; Jn. 12:12-19).

Lent is fast approaching or what we called “The Holy Week” and we are all too excited to celebrate the life, death, and resurrection of our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. Our observation and commemoration of Lord’s death on the cross is of utmost importance—for it provides the perfect atoning sacrifice for the sin over all humanity. We see His triumph over death pointing toward the promise of eternal life in God’s presence.

Better late than never. Happy International Women’s Day to all women! Remember that you are loved, remembered and treasured— always and forever! ❤️

God sees the women as precious as jewel— worth more than rubies. She is a virtous women with dignity, has noble character, pure and above all a women who fears God— the exact opposite of todays women in this world.

For a women of God can never be like women of the world. The world may have enough women who are tough; but a women of God is tender. There are enough women who are coarse; God needs a women who are kind. There are enough women who are rude; God needs women who are refined. We have enough women of fame and fortune; God needs women of faith. There are enough greed; but God needs more goodness. There are women who have enough vanity; yet God needs more virtue. There are have enough popularity; but God needs more women of purity.

God extremely delights in these things. Choose to be a women of God!

Happy Women’s Day!
