Today, August 8, the parish community of ๐’๐š๐ข๐ง๐ญ ๐‰๐š๐ฆ๐ž๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐€๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฅ๐ž ๐๐š๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ก, ๐๐š๐๐ซ๐ž ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ ๐จ๐ฌ, joyfully and gratefully celebrates the ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐ญ๐ก ๐’๐š๐œ๐ž๐ซ๐๐จ๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐€๐ง๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐š๐ซ๐ฒ of our beloved Parish Priest, ๐‘๐ž๐ฏ. ๐…๐ซ. ๐ƒ๐จ๐ง๐š๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐”๐ญ๐ฌ๐ฎ ๐”๐ง๐๐ข๐ž, ๐‚๐’๐’๐ฉ.

Though his actual anniversary falls on August 6, today we gather as one parish family to honor a decade marked not simply by years, but by a life generously offered to God and His people.

Ten years of priesthood represent ten years of sacrifice, fidelity, perseverance, and grace. For a missionary priest, this journey carries an even deeper meaning. Far from his homeland, Fr. Donatus has embraced the people of Padre Burgos not merely as a place of assignment, but as a community entrusted to his pastoral care.

His ministry reminds us that priesthood is not measured by position, recognition, or comfort. It is measured by the willingness to serve, to lead, to listen, to forgive, and to remain faithful when the mission becomes difficult.

Through his humility, wisdom, compassion, and steadfast commitment, he has touched the lives of many. His presence has especially encouraged our young people to discover the beauty of faith, service, and a life centered on Christ.

As our Parish Priest, he has shown us that authentic leadership begins with service. His example teaches us that the greatest shepherd is not the one who stands above his people, but the one who walks with them, carries their burdens, strengthens their faith, and continually points them toward God.

Today, therefore, we do not simply celebrate an anniversary. We celebrate a vocation faithfully lived.

We thank the Lord for the gift of Fr. Donatus and for the countless lives that have been blessed through his priestly ministry. We pray that God may continue to grant him abundant grace, good health, wisdom, courage, and renewed strength for every mission entrusted to him.

May the Holy Spirit remain his constant guide. May Christ, the Eternal High Priest, sustain him in moments of difficulty and deepen his joy in serving God's people. May Our Blessed Mother protect him beneath her maternal care, and may ๐’๐ญ. ๐‰๐š๐ฆ๐ž๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐€๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฅ๐ž continue to intercede for him and for his ministry.

FROM ALTAR SERVERS TO FUTURE PRIESTS โ€” BE PART OF THEIR JOURNEY

On behalf of our Ministry, we would like to congratulate our very own members who joined the โ€œOrSemโ€ Orientation Seminar held by Diocese of Maasin, Saint Pope Paul VI Seminary, Maasin City, Southern Leyte, for aspiring seminarians who feel called by God.

They have responded to Godโ€™s calling and are willing to embrace seminary life. They are committed to serving Him, but financial struggles have made it difficult for them to continue their journey.
