Saturday Home Visitation Ministry

Pastor Jerber Montera Pagobo, Maam Estella Sercolado Michelle Circolado Kurt Enaguas Xavier Tecson conducted family visitation.

3 families were visited. Pregoner Family, Tulabing Family and Baldo Family.

More than simply entering their homes, we were reminded of the importance of being present, listening, sharing God’s Word, and praying with one another.

Every home has its own story, struggles, and victories—and it is a blessing to remind each family that they are loved, remembered, and part of the family of God.

“As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” — Joshua 24:15

“If God is loving, why did He create people just to send them to hell?”

It is one of the questions skeptics often raise about Christianity. And perhaps part of the problem is that the question begins with a premise the Bible itself does not teach.

God did not create hell for humanity.

Jesus spoke of “the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels” (Matthew 25:41). Hell was not presented as the original purpose or destination for mankind. Humanity was created for something entirely different—to know God, to live in fellowship with Him, and to reflect His image.

But with that gift came something incredibly significant: the ability to choose.

God could have created human beings incapable of rejecting Him. He could have programmed us to obey, worship, and say, “I love You,” automatically.

But would that really be love?

Imagine someone saying they love you only because they have absolutely no ability to do otherwise. There is no choice, no willingness, no genuine response of the heart. Love that is forced ceases to possess the very quality that makes love meaningful.

So God gave humanity a will.

And that may be one of the most crucial gifts—and most serious responsibilities—God gave us.

The freedom to love God also means the freedom to reject Him.
The freedom to obey means the possibility of disobedience.
The freedom to receive His grace means the possibility of refusing it.

And humanity did choose rebellion.

Yet the remarkable message of Christianity is not that God stood at a distance waiting to condemn fallen people. He came to rescue them.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son…” — John 3:16

The Cross changes the way we should frame the question.

Instead of only asking, “Why would a loving God judge sinners?” we should also ask:

“Why would a holy God go so far to save them?”

God does not delight in the death of the wicked (Ezekiel 33:11). Scripture says He is patient, “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).

Christianity does not present salvation as humanity desperately trying to convince an unwilling God to let us into heaven.

It presents the opposite:

God seeking the lost.
God calling sinners to repentance.
God providing the sacrifice.
God extending grace.
God opening the way home.

Yes, human freedom has consequences. Love does not eliminate justice, and grace does not make our choices meaningless.

But before we accuse God of creating humanity merely to condemn it, we should look again at the Cross.

There we find the heart of the Christian message:

God created us with the freedom to love Him.
We used that freedom to turn away from Him.
And instead of abandoning us, He came after us.

That is not the story of a God eager to send people to hell.

It is the story of a God who went to extraordinary lengths to save them.

Yesterday's Sunday Worship Service at Redeemed Baptist Christian Church – Padada was a blessed time of learning, worship, and reflection.

Our Sunday School was led by Engr. Richin Grace Zamora Buhong Sa Grasya who shared a timely lesson on the importance of godly wisdom, emphasizing that true heavenly wisdom produces faithful and fruitful service for the Lord.

During the Divine Worship Service, KD Benaro KingDanmale Benaro led the congregation in hymns, thanksgiving, and prayer, preparing our hearts to receive God's Word.

The message was delivered by Engr. Xavier Tecson , who warned of the danger of becoming spiritually at ease. Drawing from the life of King David, he reminded us that when we neglect our God-given responsibilities and fail to remain where the Lord has called us to be, we become vulnerable to temptation and sin.

May we continue to walk in wisdom, remain faithful in our calling, and stay steadfast in the place where God has appointed us.

To Him alone be all the glory!
