Continuing the EYM Formation Journey in Lingayen-Dagupan đź’™
Following the EYM Eucharistic Camp last July facilitated by SICaP, the EYM Philippines National Formation Team with the EYM - Parañaque came to the Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan to facilitate the initiation of its Phase 2 Formation Orientation on August 21, gathering 37 youth leaders from 27 parishes.
The formation was conducted in coordination with Rev. Fr. Allan Morris T. Abuan, Director of the ALD Center for Formation, Spirituality and Events and EYM Archdiocesan Spiritual Director.
The day focused on deepening the youth leaders’ understanding of EYM identity, spirituality, the Three Moments of Prayer, and Lectio Divina, while beginning a continuing formation journey through a vicariate-based formation strategy—weekly Lectio Divina and monthly Schooled by the Spirit sessions with the EYM National Formation Team.
We are also grateful for the opportunity to meet with Archbishop Socrates B. Villegas for a meaningful dialogue on EYM formation and the realities affecting young people, families, public trust, and the Church today.
🙏 Our heartfelt thanks, on behalf of our National Director Fr. Victor de Jesus, SJ, to the EYM National Formation Team: Leo Mapala, Assistant Coordinator for Formation; Tita Pitt Venturanza, Formation Trainer; Jiesle Paelmao, Formation Speaker; Andrew Rasonabe, Danielle Betita and Nath Balate, Formation Team Members; together with EYM National Coordinator Joselle Corpus.
Our gratitude as well to Fr. Allan, the Archdiocesan Formation Center, parish priests, vicariate and parish youth coordinators, and the EYM Core Team for walking with us in forming young people for mission.
Formation before mission. We walk together, pray together, and discover our “why” together. 💙
Pray with the Pope. Encounter Christ in the Eucharist. Be formed. Be sent.
