Faith is not about seeing the full path, but trusting the One who lights each step. Life may bring uncertainties, but with God, we are never walking alone. Every challenge becomes an opportunity to lean deeper on Him. 🙏

Ash Wednesday may have passed, but the journey of Lent has just begun. It’s a time to reflect, repent, and renew our faith. Let’s carry the meaning of the ashes in our hearts—choosing humility, kindness, and a closer relationship with God. 🙏

Though the ashes fade, the message of Ash Wednesday remains. It reminds us that life is fleeting and that our hearts should always be turned toward God. Lent is an opportunity to grow spiritually, to sacrifice with love, and to prepare ourselves for the joy of Easter. Let’s make this season meaningful by choosing prayer, self-discipline, and acts of kindness every day.🙏🏻

God’s blessings are evident throughout history, from Abraham’s faithfulness to David’s courage and Sarah’s patience. These stories remind us that His grace is not bound by time… He continues to bless those who trust in Him. In moments of abundance and even in trials, recognizing His hand in our lives fosters humility and gratitude. When we acknowledge His blessings, we are reminded that everything we have is a gift, not just for ourselves but to be shared with others. So, with a heart full of thankfulness, I say, Amen!

✨ First Sunday of Lent

Today's Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 4:1-11

At that time Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert
to be tempted by the devil.
He fasted for forty days and forty nights,
and afterwards he was hungry.
The tempter approached and said to him,
"If you are the Son of God,
command that these stones become loaves of bread."
He said in reply,
"It is written:
One does not live by bread alone,
but on every word that comes forth
from the mouth of God."

Then the devil took him to the holy city,
and made him stand on the parapet of the temple,
and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down.
For it is written:
He will command his angels concerning you
and with their hands they will support you,
lest you dash your foot against a stone."
Jesus answered him,
"Again it is written,
You shall not put the Lord, your God, to the test."
Then the devil took him up to a very high mountain,
and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in their magnificence,
and he said to him, "All these I shall give to you,
if you will prostrate yourself and worship me."
At this, Jesus said to him,
"Get away, Satan!
It is written:
The Lord, your God, shall you worship
and him alone shall you serve."

Then the devil left him and, behold,
angels came and ministered to him.

Praise be Jesus Christ!

Today, the whole church celebrates Ash Wednesday. As our foreheads are marked with ashes, we hear the words, “Remember you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” We formally begin the Season of Lent, the 40-day period of penance, alms giving and fasting in preparation to Eastertide.

May this year’s Lent brings renewal to ourselves, strengthen faiths and hope to all.

✨ Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time

Today's Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 5:38-48

Jesus said to his disciples:
"You have heard that it was said,
An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.
But I say to you, offer no resistance to one who is evil.
When someone strikes you on your right cheek,
turn the other one as well.
If anyone wants to go to law with you over your tunic,
hand over your cloak as well.
Should anyone press you into service for one mile,
go for two miles.
Give to the one who asks of you,
and do not turn your back on one who wants to borrow.

"You have heard that it was said,
You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.
But I say to you, love your enemies
and pray for those who persecute you,
that you may be children of your heavenly Father,
for he makes his sun rise on the bad and the good,
and causes rain to fall on the just and the unjust.
For if you love those who love you, what recompense will you have?
Do not the tax collectors do the same?
And if you greet your brothers only,
what is unusual about that?
Do not the pagans do the same?
So be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect."
