Key Verse:
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusted in thee.”
— Isaiah 26:3 (KJV)

A Hebrew word shalom is commonly translated as “peace.”
But Biblical peace is deeper than just silence, comfort, or absence of problems.

In the Holman Treasury of Key Bible Words, shalom is more than the mere absence of war or strife.

𝑺𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒎 means:

a.wholeness,
b.completeness,
c. harmony,
d. being made whole in God.

And what’s beautiful is that the word shalom comes from the Hebrew root word shalam.

𝑺𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒎 means:

a. to restore,
b. to make amends,
c. to repay,
d. to make whole again.

In simple words:

«Shalam is the process.
Shalom is the result.»

Before God gives peace, He often restores something first.

1. God Restores What Is Broken

Sometimes we ask God for peace while carrying brokenness we never surrendered to Him.

But God is not only interested in calming our emotions.
He wants to heal the root of the pain.

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3

Before there is shalom, there is shalam.

God restores:

I. wounded hearts,
II. broken relationships,
III. weary souls,
IV. and lost intimacy with Him.

2. Jesus Became Our Peace

Jesus did not only comfort us — He restored us back to God.

“..For He Himself is our peace.” — Ephesians 2:14

At the cross, Jesus paid the debt of sin, carried our shame, and repaired what was destroyed between humanity and God.

That is SHALAM.

And because of His sacrifice, we can now experience shalom:

- peace with God,
- peace within ourselves,
- and peace despite life’s storms.

“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” — Romans 5:1

“Shalam is what God does.
Shalom is what we receive.”

3. Many Want Shalom Without Shalam

Sometimes we want peace without obedience.

We want:

- healing without surrender,
- restoration without repentance,
- peace without forgiveness.

But God often calls us into the process first.

Maybe there are things He is asking us to:

- release,
- confess,
- forgive,
- or surrender.

“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” — Romans 12:18

Peace grows where restoration begins.

4. God’s Peace Guards the Heart

The peace of God is different from the peace of the world. Worldly peace depends on circumstances. But God’s peace remains even in chaos.

“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:7

Even when life feels uncertain, God can still give a whole and steady heart.

That is shalom.

𝕽𝖊𝖋𝖑𝖊𝖈𝖙𝖎𝖔𝖓:
Maybe today, God is not just trying to remove the storm around you. Maybe He is restoring something within you. Because when God brings shalam, He also releases shalom. 🤍

✨ DEVOTE AS A DISCIPLE ✨

There is a great difference between simply believing in Christ and truly becoming His disciple. A believer may accept Jesus, but a disciple chooses to surrender everything to follow Him wholeheartedly. Discipleship is not just about attending church, listening to sermons, or knowing Bible verses. It is about dying to yourself daily so that Christ may fully live in you.

📖 “Then Jesus said to his disciples, If anyone wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”
— Matthew 16:24

To devote yourself as a disciple means choosing obedience even when it is uncomfortable, remaining faithful even when life hurts, and continuing to serve God even when no one notices your sacrifices. A true disciple does not follow his own desires anymore; he follows the direction of Jesus no matter the cost.

Following Jesus also means learning humility and submission. God places spiritual leaders, mentors, and pastors in our lives to guide, correct, and watch over our souls. Obedience to godly leadership reflects our obedience to Christ Himself.

📖 Hebrews 13:17
“Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls...”

In this generation full of distractions and compromise, God is still searching for disciples who will stand firm in faith, love genuinely, pray faithfully, and carry their cross daily.

May we never be ashamed to follow Him completely. Even when the road is hard, His presence is worth more than anything this world can offer. 🙏✨

MAY GOD BLESS YOU FOR READING HIS WORD. ❤️🌻

A mother is one of God’s greatest gifts to us. She is someone who sacrifices quietly, loves endlessly, and cares deeply for her family. From the moment we are born until we grow up, mothers continue to guide, support, and pray for us.

Today, we want to thank u, all mothers for your patience, hard work, and unconditional love. Your efforts may sometimes go unnoticed, but God sees every sacrifice you make.

In Proverbs 31:25-26
It says, “She is clothed with strength and dignity… She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.”

To all our mothers, thank you for being strong, loving, and faithful. May God continue to bless you with good health, joy, and strength every day.💙❤️✨️

Title: Serving with Significance

Text: John 13:3-5, 12-15, 31-35:

In John 13, Jesus washes the feet of His disciples, demonstrating the true meaning of servant leadership. Let's explore acrostic S-E-R-V-E that highlight the significance of this powerful act.

a. S-ERVING with purpose and humility
●verses 3-5, (Jesus washes feet, SHOWING us to SERVE with purpose and humility)
Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.

b. E-XAMPLE of love in action
●verses 12-13, (Jesus EXPLAINS serving is about following His EXAMPLE, not seeking status)
“You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.

c. R-EFLECTING God's glory through service
●verses 14-15, 31-32, (we serve others to HIGHLIGHT God's glory and HEED Jesus' command)
"Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you." Jesus said, “Now is the Son of Man glorified and God is glorified in him. If God is glorified in him, God will glorify the Son in himself, and will glorify him at once.

d. V-ALUE in serving one another
●verses 33-34, (CONSEQUENTLY, Jesus COMMANDS us to love one another as He loved us)
“My children, I will be with you only a little longer. You will look for me, and just as I told the Jews, so I tell you now: Where I am going, you cannot come. “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another."

e. E-MBODYING love's commandment
●verse 35, (loving LIKE Jesus is the mark of a LEGIT disciple)
"By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Conclusion: Jesus' act of washing the disciples' feet challenges us to rethink our understanding of leadership and service. May we follow His example, serving others with love and humility, and reflecting the glory of God.

Questions to R-E-F-L-E-C-T:

1. R-ecognize Jesus' example:
How does Jesus' act of washing feet challenge my understanding of serving others?

2. E-mulate servant leadership:
In what areas of my life do I need to adopt a more servant-like attitude?

3. F-ocus on others' needs:
How can I prioritize others' needs and serve them with love and humility?

4. L-ove like Jesus:
What does it mean for me to love others as Jesus loved us?

5. E-mbody God's glory:
How can I reflect God's glory through serving others?

6. C-ommit to serving others:
What practical steps can I take to serve others with love and humility?

7. T-ransform my perspective:
How can I shift my perspective to see serving others as an opportunity to reflect Jesus?

Serving God with significance goes beyond just doing good things or being active in church. It’s about living a life that has eternal weight, deep purpose, and genuine impact both in your relationship with God and in the lives of others.
