𝐎𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐜 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐚 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 | 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

The ELITES Youth Department joyfully gathered for a youth fellowship at the Brgy. Cabulihan Covered Court, Ormoc City, guided by the theme “Equipped by His Word for Mission.”

It was a blessed Sabbath filled with worship, fellowship, and spiritual growth, reminding us of the importance of God’s Word in strengthening our faith and preparing us for service. Through shared activities and heartfelt moments, bonds were strengthened, faith was renewed, and a deeper commitment to the mission of the church was encouraged.

The fellowship also included the District Youth Officer Election, followed by an exciting Sports Night, and concluded with a joyful Social Night, bringing the day to a memorable and meaningful close.

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” — 2 Peter 3:18

Happy Sabbath! May we continue to be equipped by His Word as we serve and share His love.

This Saturday - January 31, 2026, let’s come together at Brgy. Cabulihan Gym, Ormoc City for a meaningful Youth Fellowship themed “Equipped by His Word for Mission.” Expect a full day filled with faith, leadership, fun, and fellowship, from the District Youth Officers Election, exciting Sports Night, to a joyful Social Night to end the day.

Come ready, come excited, and come equipped as we grow, serve, and move forward in the mission God has entrusted to us. See you there, youth!

𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 | The Ormoc Area District brethren gathered in Brgy. Mas-in, Ormoc City to spend the Sabbath for the Sportsfest and Association of Churches, centered on the theme “𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧,” with our speaker, 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐞𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐉𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐞 𝐄𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐝𝐨.

In the morning, a child dedication service was conducted and led by 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬, where parents and families committed their children to God through prayer, seeking His guidance, protection, and blessings as they nurture them in faith and Christian values.

In the afternoon, the Pastor and Laymen Affirmation Day was held, affirming and appreciating the dedication, service, and partnership of pastors and laymen as they continue to work together in fulfilling God’s mission and strengthening the ministry of the district.

The Sabbath concluded with a renewed sense of unity, commitment, and spiritual encouragement, as the brethren were reminded of their shared calling to faithfully serve God and one another in advancing His work.

𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐒𝐅𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐎𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 | 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝟓

We began the day with a morning devotional, where the messages shared reminded us of God’s guidance and faithfulness. These moments of reflection set a positive and purposeful tone, encouraging everyone to face the day with gratitude and renewed strength.

The day continued with various sports events such as dama, chess, and kaob hayang. Beyond friendly competition, these activities strengthened bonds among the participants, fostering camaraderie, sportsmanship, and mutual respect, while creating an atmosphere filled with unity and joy.

The day concluded with a vesper worship led by our speaker, Pastor Nicanor Buo Jr., which allowed everyone to pause, reflect, and reconnect with God. The evening continued with the Youth Night, featuring contests in memory verse, preaching, and singing, where the talents and dedication of the youth were joyfully expressed in service to the Lord.

Day five was truly successful with the help of the Lord, as it not only brought meaningful activities and joyful fellowship but also strengthened our faith, unity, and commitment to serve God and one another.

The day continued with various sports events, including volleyball, dama, and kaob hayang. These games fostered camaraderie, healthy competition, and sportsmanship among the participants, creating an atmosphere of unity and enjoyment throughout the event. There were also Larong Pinoy that further added to the fun and cultural significance of the activities.

The day concluded with an evening devotional led by our speaker, Sir Dominic Canitan about the importance of rest. The night continued with a basketball and volleyball game.

Day four of Sportsfest 2025 was successful, highlighting unity, courage, and the joy of participating in various sports.

These meaningful conversations set a positive and purposeful tone for the day. Afterward, we energized ourselves with a morning exercise that promoted physical wellness and teamwork.

The day continued with various sports events, including basketball, volleyball, badminton and dama. These games fostered camaraderie, healthy competition, and sportsmanship among the participants, creating an atmosphere of unity and enjoyment throughout the event.

The day concluded with an evening devotional led by our speaker, Sir Dominic Canitan, who shared insights on ‘Diet for Health,’ emphasizing the importance of choosing the right foods in accordance with the Bible. The night continued with a basketball game.

𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐒𝐅𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐎𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 | 𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐎𝐂 𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐀

December 22, 2025 marks the official opening of the Ormoc Area Sportsfest and the Association of Adventist Churches. Delegates from various churches in the Ormoc Area began arriving at the campsite, where our registration team warmly welcomed each delegate.

In the evening, the program began with the first nightly worship, during which Pastor Ricardo Jr. De Asis spoke about the Parable of the Good Samaritan. After the worship service, the Sportsfest and Association were officially opened by Pastor Aronry Wales, followed by the first basketball game.

The excitement is building as athletes and coordinators complete their registration and prepare for one week of spirited competition, camaraderie, and faith-centered sportsmanship.
