Bro. Eme and his daughter, Sis Manel Aviles of Couples for Christ Ormoc, shared a deeply Spirit-filled testimony born out of one of life’s fiercest battles—Sis Manel’s fight against cancer.
What seemed like a season of darkness became a sacred journey of surrender. In the face of pain, uncertainty, and fear, they chose faith. They hold on to God’s promises, surrendered completely to His divine will, and continued serving the Lord faithfully—remaining active in the Couples for Christ community and devoted to the Sacraments.
But this testimony was not theirs alone.
The CFC community became God’s living vessel of love, strength, and hope. Through fervent prayers, constant encouragement, financial support, and unwavering presence, the community carried them when they were weary. They became Christ’s hands that lifted, Christ’s voice that comforted, and Christ’s heart that embraced. In moments when strength seemed to fade, the body of Christ stood in the gap.
United as one family in the Lord, they stood firm—anchored in His Word and upheld by a community that never stopped believing for healing.
And in God’s perfect time, the miracle unfolded—Sis Manel was declared cancer-free.
Their story proclaims a powerful truth: when we are in Christ and united as one community, we do not fight alone. A family rooted in Christ and supported by a Spirit-filled community does not merely survive the storm—it rises in victory, indeed "In The One We Are One".
