4th Vicariate Youth Coordinating Council Meeting

The 4th VYCC Meeting was held at the Holy Family Parish, Kananga, together with the new Vicariate Youth Director, Rev. Fr. Jaime Jhemboy Varona.

Ideas have been raised and plans were created that will soon benefit the whole Vicariate of Ormoc - Commission on Youth.

This gathering was not just an event; it stands as a powerful testament to our youthful zeal, unwavering hope, and hearts fervently dedicated to Christ.

As we look forward with exhilaration and eager anticipation, we proudly pass the mantle to the Vicariate of Ormoc for ASYC 2028, where "higala" symbolizes a spirit of brotherhood, communion, and shared journey.

We have transformed from mere companions into treasured friends. Together, we move from one sacred horizon to another. One Church, one mission, and a united generation embrace the calling to walk in divine purpose. Join us as we continue this remarkable journey.

ASYChika: Day 0 Chronicles 🎤✨⛺

The wait is over, mga Kasangkay! 🙌 Archdiocesan Summer Youth Camp 2026 has officially kicked off here in Tanaun, Leyte 📍 and the energy from our Vicariate of Ormoc delegates is already ELECTRIFYING! For our first episode of ASYChika, we went straight to the heart of Day 0 — catching our youth in the middle of settling in, reconnecting, and feeling all the first-day excitement.

We asked them the real talk: What are your biggest expectations for ASYCamp 2026? 🤔💭 How did Day 0 treat you after that long trip? The journey never ends. From a shepherd to another, the Vicariate of Ormoc - Commission on Youth are happy to welcome Rev. Fr. Jaime Jhemboy Varona as our new Vicariate Youth Director. The Lord has given us a new instrument for the youth, let us rejoice.

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, as in all wisdom you teach and admonish one another, singing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” - Colossians 3:15-17

For the days that you are with us, helping us, and molding us as young servants of Christ, the Vicariate Youth Coordinating Council of Ormoc has seen you not just our Vicariate Youth Director, but as a father, brother, friend, and a leader. Your humility has made us see one of the factors of becoming a good servant-leader. Our gratitude to you will always be seen in us, and our gratitude to God for making you as an instrument will always be seen in hearts.

May the Lord keep you and bless you. May He give you grace as you walk on to a new journey in faith. May you also share your wisdom and leadership with others as you share it with us.

3𝙧𝙙 𝙑𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝘾𝙤𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙡 𝙈𝙚𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 2026 𝘼𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙡 18, 2026

The Archdiocesan Summer Youth Camp 2026 (ASYC 2026) is fast approaching and the youth delegates from the Vicariate of Ormoc are excited.

With the excitement from each of our delegates, the Vicariate Coordinating Council of Ormoc had a meeting last April 18, 2026 to provide updates on the preparation of each parish and mission station, decide on other preparations as a Vicariate, and to talk about what we will be expecting as a vicariate delegation for this ASYC 2026.

May we all request for your spiritual support as we represent our Vicariate for this opportunity. That we may not only join and have fun, but also, treasure and bring the courage and mission to the rest of the community.

Let us together, TAKE COURAGE, and fulfill our mission as Youth Ministers!
