Our parish joyfully welcomed the Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, known as the Madre Peregrina de Guadalupe, during the Welcome Mass held on September 10.
The Pilgrim Image is part of the National Pilgrimage of Our Lady of Guadalupe in the Philippines, in preparation for the 500th anniversary of the Guadalupe apparitions in 2031. This nationwide pilgrimage brings the message and devotion of Our Lady of Guadalupe closer to communities throughout the country. ๐น๐
The Holy Mass was presided over by Rev. Msgr. Gilbert Urbina, together with the concelebrating priests from the different parishes under the Vicariates of Ormoc and Palompon.
The parish was filled with faithful who came from different parishes and communities, all eager to witness the arrival of the pilgrim image and spend time in prayer and veneration.
Following the Welcome Mass, the veneration of the Madre Peregrina de Guadalupe began at 7:00 PM and will continue throughout the night until 6:00 AM on September 11. The overnight vigil brings together different parishes, Marian devotions, and religious groups in prayer and devotion.
May this blessed visit of the Madre Peregrina de Guadalupe strengthen our faith, unite us in prayer, and always lead us closer to her Son, Jesus. ๐น๐
