Hosted by the 𝘿𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙈𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙮 𝙈𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, the Commission on Youth from 𝙈𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙙𝙚𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙧 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙝 and the 𝘿𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙈𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙮 𝙈𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 gathered today for a Parochial Visit.

The session was led by speakers from the 𝙑𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝘾𝙤𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙑𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙊𝙧𝙢𝙤𝙘, offering a day filled with rich insights, fruitful interactions, and renewed inspiration for mission and service.

12th Year Commemoration of Super Typhoon Yolanda

Today, we remember Typhoon Yolanda—not just the destruction it brought, but the strength we found in each other. We recall the lives lost, the families who grieved, and the homes that were washed away. The pain was real, and the memories remain.

But we also remember how we rose.
When everything was broken, we found courage.
When hope seemed gone, we held onto each other.
We rebuilt—not just our houses, but our faith and community.

Let this day remind us to:

Honor those we lost,

Be grateful for the life we have,

And stay united and prepared for whatever may come.

Yolanda changed us—but it did not defeat us.
We are still here.
We are still standing.
We are stronger together.

34th Commemoration of the Ormoc Flash Flood

Today, we pause to remember and pray for the souls of our dearly departed who lost their lives in the tragic flash flood.

As we look back on this moment of sorrow, may it also deepen our faith and strengthen our hope in God who heals and restores.

May the memory of our loved ones continue to live in our hearts, inspiring us to cherish life, care for one another, and remain steadfast in compassion and unity.

God is Greater than the storm for "He made the storm be still, and the waves of sea were hushed" Psalm 107:29
