The Archconfraternity of Our Lady of Lourdes Philippines, which office and mother house is located at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes, Retiro, Quezon City, together with the affiliated Confraternities of Our Lady of Lourdes from Parishes all over the country, celebrated the 131st Lourdes Fiesta in the Philippines; the 166th Anniversary of the Lourdes Apparitions, and the 32nd World Day of the Sick.
From Healing Masses, Processions, Medical Missions and Misa Mayor, our brothers and sisters celebrated their love and devotion to our dearest Patroness; the Virgin of Lourdes.
Truly, the community is so widespread and known, that when one thinks of Our Lady of Lourdes, the Archconfraternity becomes an inevitable part.
This religious organization, Canonically Established 131 years ago, on September 15, 1893, is under the care of the elected Provincial Minister of the Capuchin Province of the Philippines (currently Fr. Edgar Martinez OFMCap.), who is also the Spiritual Director of the Archconfraternity of Our Lady of Lourdes, which considers the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes as their mother house, like that of the Capuchins.
Although the Archconfraternity is not an organization that is exclusively in NSOLL, as it embodies all the established Confraternities of Our Lady of Lourdes from numerous Parishes within the Philippines, NSOLL holds an exceptional place in the hearts of each member, as it is the center of the devotion to Our Lady of Lourdes in the Philippines, and we solemnly vowed to become faithful propagators of Our Ladyโs devotion and messages.
Let us continue the path of Saint Bernadette; to be Our Ladyโs messenger of Her love for all of us!
