cil 15898, Limay Council 10227 and San Roque Council 15559 (Lamao) are subordinate councils of Luzon Northโs Balanga Diocese B-35 District. Chief Justice Arellano Council was instituted on Sep. 25th, 1955 with 55 charter members during the terms of 10th Supreme Knight Luke E. Willmann, S.J., former governor of Bataan Br. Naval as its first District Deputy, and Br. Evangelista of Bagumbayan as its first Grand Knight. It was named in honor of Chief Justice Cayetano Arellano, a native son of Orion, Bataan, and the first and longest-serving Chief Justice of the Philippine Supreme Court. In attendance in its chartering was a high-ranking leader of the Church, His Excellency Msgr. Velasco, O.P., a bishop. Coinciding with the birth of the Chief Justice Arellano Council was the blessing of a new bell tower and a renovated and beautified Church. Present at the inauguration of the first leadership of the Chief Justice Arellano Council were Sir Knight Paul Versoza as guest of honor and Sir Knight Pablo Salaveria, sole representative of Rev. George Willmann, SJ. The first leadership consisted of the following: Rev. Jose Z. Marquez, Chaplain; Bro. Evangelista, Grand Knight; Ricardo T. Angeles, Deputy Grand Knight; Alfredo V. Angeles, Chancellor; Antonio L. Bagtas, Financial Secretary; Remigio C. Rodriguez, Recorder; Bro. Guillermo A. Sanchez. Treasurer; Manuel Soriano, Procopio R. Santos, Lecturer; Warden; Felixberto S. Evangelista is the concrete arch at the entrance gate of the Church. The council was very active at that time. Their First Degree and Second-Degree Exemplification Team was admired by many for its excellence. Some of those they encouraged to join after their institution were Past Grand Knight Antonio Juanillo Raymundo Sr., father of Mayor Antonio L. Raymundo Jr. and Pedro Garcia Javier. Like a grain of wheat that must first die and be buried in the ground to come back to life and bear fruit, the Chief Justice Arellano Council sprouted on September 29, 1977 after years of minimal progress. Through the perseverance and efforts of some former Knights of Columbus members like Br. Ricardo T. Angeles, the council was revived. It took many adjustments from the Knights of Columbus Headquarters in Manila and the Knights of Council Headquarters in New Haven, Connecticut, USA before the election was held. Br. Angeles, Br. Artemio M. Artillaga, Br. Celedenio M. Guzman and Ernesto B. Navarro were elected Grand Knights one after the other. Some of its notable knights are Br. Angeles, a WWII veteran and a former mayor of Orion; Br. Manuel C. Santos and Br. Jose Q. Lim, also former mayors of Orion; Br. Alfredo V. Angeles, former vice mayor of Orion including Br. Andres B.
