Many young people struggle with their identity and are often faced with pressure in proving their worth through social media, achievements, and common questions of โ€œAm I enough?โ€, โ€œDo I matter?โ€, โ€œWhat is my purpose?โ€.

But in Week 1 of our new series, we will uncover a powerful truth: a hero does not begin with recognitionโ€”a hero begins with knowing their identity in Christ.

Due to unfavorable severe weather conditions and out of an abundance of caution for everyoneโ€™s safety, our Link-Up Service tomorrow, August 9, is cancelled.

While we won't be meeting in person tomorrow, your safety is our top priority. We encourage everyone to stay indoors, stay warm, and stay safe with your families.

Fame.
Power.

But here is the truth we are leaning into this month,
Jesus reveals a completely different kind of hero.

When we look at His life, we don't see a call to self-promotion.
We see a Savior who serves, sacrifices, loves, and obeys.

Because true heroism isnโ€™t about the applause you receive.
When you choose to take on the mindset of Christ,

Conditional affection.

Or hiding our light just to fit in with the culture around us.

But here is the powerful truth we heard today,

When our lives are deeply rooted in Him,
we don't just reflect our own goodness; we glow in Christ.
He empowers us to love the unlovable, to forgive freely, and to carry hope into places that feel completely dark.

And as we step out into our campuses, homes, and friend groups,
we are faced with a choice:
to dim our light for the sake of comfort, or to ๐’ƒ๐’๐’๐’…๐’๐’š ๐’…๐’Š๐’”๐’‘๐’๐’‚๐’š ๐‘ฏ๐’Š๐’” ๐’“๐’‚๐’…๐’Š๐’„๐’‚๐’ ๐’๐’๐’—๐’†.

Because as a young person carrying His Spirit,
you are not just called to survive the darkness,

We are moving into the second week of our Whole Yours series, shifting our focus from the mind to how we live out our faith in our daily lives!

Once our mindset begins to align with God, it completely changes how we view ourselves and the people around us.

Romans 12:3-8 reminds us that the church is one body made up of many unique parts. You don't have to look like anyone else, copy their talents, or fit into a certain mold to be valuable.

Your physical life, your specific talents, and your unique personality are active gifts given to you by Godโ€”and they were intentionally designed for service.

To "sunder" means to break apart or divide.

In a world that constantly pressures us to fit in the crowd, the Lord invites us to surrender our fragmented thoughts, brokenness, and struggles so He can make us completely Whole.

We were reminded that true transformation isn't an outward performance; it is a metamorphosisโ€”a deep, inward change that becomes visible on the outside.

We should allow God to renew our minds daily through Scripture, prayer, and the Holy Spirit.

As Proverbs 4:23 reminds us, "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it."
