The symbolism of the design on this vestment is "Wheat and Grapes".

Wheat and grapes are core Christian symbols representing the Eucharist, with wheat representing the Body of Christ and grapes representing His Blood. They signify the Passion and sacrifice of Jesus, just as wheat must be ground and grapes crushed to become bread and wine. These symbols also represent unity, as individual grains and grapes form one loaf and one cup.

This is a stunning example of how deep theological symbolism meets the intricate artistry of Philippine heritage. The choice of Burdang Orani specifically highlights a proud tradition of craftsmanship from Bataan, making this ensemble for Señor Jesus Desmayado not just a garment, but a visual prayer.
The design details shared reflect a beautiful synergy between the "crushing" of the elements and the "Special Detallado" technique.

Craftsmanship:
🔴 Symbolism: By using wheat and grapes, the vestment connects the image of the Desmayado (the Fainting Jesus) to the institution of the Eucharist. The physical "grinding" and "crushing" of these elements mirrors the physical suffering of Christ depicted in this particular icon.

🔴 3D Applique & Texture: The use of 3D Applique and Crystal Stones creates a tactile depth. In the dim light of a Holy Week procession, these embellishments catch the light, symbolizing the "glory" hidden within the suffering.

🔴 Burdang Orani: As a hallmark of Bataan’s local industry, this embroidery style represents the "Sariling Atin" (our own) spirit. It transforms the Tapis and Ribbon into a cultural heirloom for the Ramos Family.
