This verse from Proverbs 4:23 teaches us that our hearts are the control center of our lives - our thoughts, desires, and decisions all flow from it. That’s why God calls us to guard it carefully and intentionally.

What we allow into our hearts will eventually shape how we live.

This week, let us surrender our hearts to God and allow Him to shape it according to His will by reading His Word.

IS MY LIFE SURRENDERED TO GOD?

When we talk about surrender, it is not just about saying, "Lord, I offer my life to you". There is a need for us to walk our "surrender" in our daily lives - in school, in our circles, in our families.

A surrendered life is Christ-centered - where our choices, purpose, and daily living honor Jesus above all. ✨

If it is difficult for us today to surrender our lives to God, let us again remember the perfect love of Christ. He died on the cross to pay the penalties of our sins. From darkness, Jesus brought us into his marvelous light. His promises are sure, and His resurrection is our hope.

And because of this, we are no longer meant to live for ourselves, but fully for Him. 🤍

"And he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.”
2 Corinthians 5:15 (ESV)

As we read our bibles this week, there is a reminder for us to “Trust in the Lord with all of our hearts”.

This means that we should fully depend on God in whatever season we are in, especially in challenging times. In Hebrew thought, the “heart” represents the mind, will, and emotions. This means that when we truly “trust” God, we surrender ourselves completely to Him instead of relying solely on human reasoning or our own understanding.

In life, our perspective is limited and often influenced by fear, pride, or emotions, but these verses comfort us that God’s wisdom is perfect.

To "acknowledge God in all our ways” means involving God in every area of our life - our decisions, relationships, plans, and future. God is not meant to simply be part of our lives; He is meant to lead them.

And in all of these, the promise of guidance that “He will make straight our paths” is given. It does not mean life will be easy, but it assures us that God directs those who trust Him.

As we start this week, let us be reminded that:
Faith is not having all the answers but trusting the one who does.

🔥HOLYMPICS 2026🔥

What a joyful and powerful day with our COG Olongapo family! 🤍

We are grateful to have been part of this amazing event last May 9, led by the Outreach and Discipleship Departments, with one heart and mission - to reach the next generation: J12s, Kids’ Station, and Sunday School learners, and lead them closer to Jesus. 🙌✨

Every game, smile, and moment was filled with purpose and joy as we sow seeds of faith into young hearts.

All glory and praise to JESUS for the lives of our leaders, pastors, and dedicated volunteers who made this event possible. You are truly a blessing! 🫡🙏

Until the next one - same heart, same mission, greater impact! 🫡
