We would like to use this post for one very specific and focused purpose.
There are many directions a flat-earth conversation can go, and we recognize that people often want to discuss objections to the globe, biblical arguments, observations they believe support flat earth, or broader concerns about mainstream cosmology. We are happy to have those conversations as well, and we will create such threads. But this particular post is not for all of those topics.
For this thread, we are asking one narrow question:
Can anyone provide a testable, workable, predictive flat-earth model?
By that, we mean an actual model that can explain and consistently predict what we observe in the heavens and in the world around us, including things such as:
-the motion of the sun, moon, and stars
-solar and lunar eclipses
-the seasons
-latitude-dependent sky changes
-and related observable celestial phenomena
In other words, we are not asking for objections to the globe alone. We are not asking for general support of flat earth alone. We are not asking for personal conviction alone. And we are not asking for someone to simply say flat earth is biblical without also presenting a model that can be examined and tested.
So, to help frame expectations clearly, if someone comments with objections to the globe, broad flat-earth claims, biblical assertions without a model, or anything else that does not actually present a testable model, our response will be along these lines:
Thank you. For this particular post, we are only asking for a testable, workable, predictive flat-earth model. So far, objections to the globe, personal beliefs, biblical assertions, or general support for flat earth do not answer the specific question being asked here. If you believe flat earth is true, then please present the actual model below so we can test it together against real observation, mathematics, and physical law. If you would like to discuss other aspects of flat earth, including objections to the globe, arguments in favor of flat earth, or biblical interpretation, we will be happy to open a separate discussion for those topics. But this thread is being reserved for the model itself.
That is not meant to be dismissive. It is simply meant to keep this discussion organized and useful.
If there is a real flat-earth model that works, this is the place to present it. And if there are other related points people want to discuss, we will gladly make room for those in a separate discussion.
