In celebration of Womenโs Month 2026, the Daughters of Mary Immaculate International (DMI) from the Vicariates of St. John the Baptist and Our Lady of Guadalupe held a Womenโs Forum on March 14, 2026 at the Aguinaldo T. Repiedad Sr. Memorial Hall of St. Joseph Spouse of BVM Parish in Banga, Aklan. The activity was hosted by the Our Lady of All Nations Circle and gathered women members for an afternoon of learning, fellowship, and empowerment.
The forum carried the theme โSerbisyong DMI, Alay sa Kababaihan โ Kalusugan, Kasanayan at Kaalaman Alay ni Inang Maria.โ The theme emphasized the organizationโs commitment to promoting womenโs health, skills development, and values formation through the guidance of the Blessed Mother.
Prior to the formal program, participants benefited from blood pressure screening and blood typing, promoting awareness on womenโs health and the importance of regular medical check-ups.
The program proper opened with a prayer led by Sis. Blessie R. Filomeno, followed by the singing of the National Anthem and the DMI Hymn. Sis. Emily A. Hindoy, Circle Regent of the Our Lady of All Nations Circle, warmly welcomed the participants and expressed gratitude for their presence and support of the organizationโs mission.
A Womenโs Month 2026 video presentation highlighted the role of women in society and inspired participants to continue serving their families and communities with dedication. This was followed by an Inspirational Message delivered by Sis. Jocelyn T. Garcia, Vicariate Regent of the Vicariates of St. John the Baptist and Our Lady of Guadalupe, encouraging women to remain strong in faith and committed to service.
One of the highlights of the forum was a talk entitled โThe Influence of Media on Family Values,โ presented by Sis. Enya V. Sembrana, Diocesan Chair of the Morality in Media Mission. Her talk emphasized responsible media consumption and its impact on shaping family values, especially among the youth.
The participants also enjoyed a skills demonstration on potholder-making facilitated by Ms. Flor M. Murallo, which introduced a simple craft that could serve as a potential livelihood activity.
The activity concluded with an open forum, the awarding of certificates of appreciation, and words of thanks delivered by Sis. Margie D. Dalida. The closing prayer was led by Sis. Ma. Rosary T. Tesorero.
Serving as the Lady Dean of Ceremony was Sis. Loida G. Andrade, who guided the program smoothly from beginning to end.
