📖 Bible Word of the Day:

Word: "Repentance" (Greek: metanoia)

Meaning:

Repentance means a deep, heartfelt change of mind and direction. It’s turning away from sin and turning toward God. The Greek word metanoia literally means “a change of mind,” but biblically, it involves both sorrow over sin and a commitment to live differently.

Key Verse:

“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.”
— Acts 3:19

Explanation:

Repentance is not just feeling guilty or saying sorry. It’s a transformational decision that leads to new life. It’s central to Jesus’ message: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near” (Matthew 4:17). God is always ready to forgive, but He invites us to repent so that we can experience His freedom, healing, and peace.

Reflection:

Is there an area in your life where God is calling you to turn back to Him? Repentance is not a burden—it’s a gift. It’s the first step toward restoration and deeper relationship with God.

There are two types of people that I find very admirable:

1. Those who have it all, but still manage to stay humble and are just plain easy to deal with.
2. Those who carry the weight of the world, but they carry it very lightly, you wouldn’t even know they have troubles in their life.

Both are very inspiring.

May we learn to stay humble wherever we go, and whatever we achieve in life. And may we learn to have gratitude and acceptance, even in adversity.

A church visitor asked the pastor, “Can I request prayer?”

“Sure, what do you want prayer for?”

“My cousin died last week. Pray that God will guide him in the afterlife.”

The pastor asked, “Suppose you’re taking an exam. Should you pray before the exam or after?”

“Obviously, before the exam.”

“Right. When you pray after the exam, it’s like you’re asking God to change the grades. That is not possible because God is faithful. He cannot deceive the result. Similarly, when we die, the exam is over. We can no longer change our destiny. Hebrews 9:27 says that we die once and then face judgment. That means no second chance. I’m sorry for your relative. He can no longer be prayed for. That is why people need to understand the Gospel while they are still alive. They had to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior before it was all over.”

Sinners who believe they can be saved after death will get the greatest shock of their lives. Teach the truth because that’s the only thing that can set people free. (John 8:32)

LIFE LESSON 💡

1. Don’t lend money to your family. Give it.

2. Never shake a hand while sitting down.

3. Stop telling people more than they need to know.

4. Never eat the last piece of something you didn't buy.

5. Don't throw your friend under the bus to impress someone.

6. Never insult the cooking when you are the guest.

7. Don't use the urinal next to an occupied one.

8. Don't take out your phone during a conversation.

9. Never take credit for work you didn't do.

10. Listen, nod, and most of all make eye contact.

11. Don't make fun of your friend in front of his kids.

12. Never let emotions overpower you.

13. Never beg for a relationship.

14. Dress well no matter what the occasion.

15. Never kick a man when he is already down.
