The stories of Our Lady of Lourdes are not just matters of beliefโ€”they are events that have challenged the world's top medical minds for over a century.
Out of thousands of claims, only 70 have been officially recognized as "miraculous" by the Church.
โ€‹Here are 3 "legit" miracles that serve as the foundation of the Lourdes devotion:
โ€‹๐Ÿ’ง 1. The Discovery of the Spring
During the 9th apparition, Our Lady told St. Bernadette to dig in the mud and drink. A clear spring began to flow from the dry, dirty ground.
โ€‹Why it's extraordinary: Geologists found no prior water source at that exact spot. Today, that same spring produces roughly 100,000 liters of water daily, linked to countless unexplained healings.
โ€‹๐Ÿ™Œ 2. The Healing of Catherine Latapie (1858)
The first official miracle. After a fall from a tree, Catherineโ€™s hand was paralyzed and her fingers crippled. After dipping her hand in the spring, her hand instantly regained full mobility.
โ€‹Why it's extraordinary: The recovery was instantaneous. In medical terms, nerve damage of that severity requires surgery or long-term therapy, yet she was cured in a heartbeat.
โ€‹๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ 3. The Recovery of Gabriel Gargam (1901)
Paralyzed from the waist down after a horrific train accident, Gabriel was near death and fed through a tube. While being blessed at Lourdes, he suddenly stood up from his stretcher and began to walk.
โ€‹Why it's extraordinary: His spine was severely damaged. His immediate ability to walk and the total disappearance of his wounds were declared medically inexplicable by the Bureau of Medical Observations.
โ€‹WHAT MAKES THESE MIRACLES "LEGIT"? ๐Ÿง
The Church doesn't just take someone's word for it. Every claim is scrutinized by the International Medical Committee (CMIL)โ€”composed of doctors and scientists (including atheists). For a cure to be declared a "Miracle," it must be:
โœ… Serious: The disease was life-threatening or incurable.
โœ… Instantaneous: The healing happened immediately, not gradually.
โœ… Lasting: The patient stayed healthy; the illness never returned.
โœ… Unexplainable: There is no medical or scientific reason for the recovery.
โ€‹"For those who believe, no explanation is necessary. For those who do not, no explanation is possible." ๐Ÿ™โœจ
Our Lady of Lourdes, Pray for us.

February 3, 2026: A Day of Grace, Intercession, and Healing

February 3, 2026, holds special spiritual significance for the faithful as it brings together two powerful devotions of the Church on the First Tuesday of the month.

On this day, the Church invites believers to reflect on the intercession of St. Anthony of Padua and to receive the Blessing of the Throat on the Memorial of St. Blaiseโ€”a rare and meaningful convergence of devotion and sacramental grace.

1st Tuesday Devotion โ€“ St. Anthony of Padua

The First Tuesday devotion is traditionally dedicated to St. Anthony of Padua, one of the most beloved saints of the Church. Known as a powerful intercessor, preacher, and miracle worker, St. Anthony is often invoked for help in times of loss, confusion, and urgent need.

Devotees turn to him for:

Guidance in difficult decisions

Restoration of lost things

Strengthening of faith

Help in family and personal struggles

Honoring St. Anthony on this day is a reminder that God works through humble servants to bring clarity, peace, and hope into our lives.

Blessing of the Throat โ€“ Memorial of St. Blaise

February 3 also marks the Memorial of St. Blaise, a bishop and martyr renowned for his miraculous healing. According to tradition, St. Blaise saved a child who was choking on a fishbone, and since then, the Church has continued the custom of blessing throats in his honor.

During the Blessing of the Throat, crossed candles are placed near the throat as a prayer is offered for protection against illnesses, especially those affecting the throat and respiratory system.

This blessing is a powerful expression of the Churchโ€™s care for both body and soulโ€”entrusting our health to Godโ€™s mercy.

A Day of Combined Devotion

The union of these two devotions on February 3, 2026 makes it a day of:

Intercession through St. Anthony

Healing and protection through St. Blaise

Renewed faith and trust in Godโ€™s providence

It is an invitation to pause, pray, and seek Godโ€™s grace through the saints who faithfully served Him.

Conclusion

February 3, 2026, is more than a dateโ€”it is a moment of spiritual opportunity. By participating in the First Tuesday Devotion and receiving the Blessing of the Throat, the faithful are reminded that Godโ€™s grace meets us in both our spiritual and physical needs.

May this day bring peace, healing, and renewed strength to all who seek it.

Today we joyfully celebrate the feast of St. John Bosco, a saint who showed that love, patience, and faith can transform young hearts and lead them closer to God.

May his joyful spirit inspire us to guide the next generation with kindness, hope, and trust in the Lord.

24/01/2026

The Hail Mary is a biblically grounded prayer composed primarily of direct quotations from Sacred Scripture, specifically Luke 1:28 and Luke 1:42, which record the angel Gabrielโ€™s greeting and Elizabethโ€™s Spirit-filled proclamation. The title โ€˜Mother of Godโ€™ is derived from Luke 1:43, where Elizabeth refers to Mary as โ€˜the mother of my Lord,โ€™ affirming the Christological truth that Jesus is fully divine. The prayerโ€™s concluding petition, โ€˜pray for us sinners,โ€™ is consistent with the biblical mandate for intercessory prayer among the faithful (cf. James 5:16) and with the New Testament portrayal of the saints as living and actively interceding before God (cf. Revelation 5:8). Thus, while the Hail Mary is not found verbatim in Scripture, its content is firmly rooted in biblical revelation and early Christian belief.

Prayer to Nuestro Padre Jesรบs Nazareno
Feast Day โ€“ January 09, 2026

Nuestro Padre Jesรบs Nazareno,
Lord of compassion and mercy,
You who carried the Cross for love of us,
we come before You with humble
and trusting hearts.

In our sufferings and trials,
grant us strength to carry our own
crosses with faith,
patience in times of hardship,
and hope that never fails in
Your saving love.

Forgive us our sins,
heal our wounds of body and soul,
and guide us always along the path
of righteousness.

Protect our families and loved ones,
walk with us in our journey of life,
and lead us closer to the Father
through Your holy Cross.

Nuestro Padre Jesรบs Nazareno,
we trust in You and surrender
everything to Your will.

Amen.

Walking with Nuestro Padre Jesรบs Nazareno

The devotion to Nuestro Padre Jesรบs Nazareno centers on a powerful image of Christ carrying the Cross โ€” not as a distant symbol, but as a living reminder of sacrificial love, endurance, and redemptive suffering. The feast day on January 09 invites believers to pause and reflect on how the Cross shapes daily life, not merely as an object of reverence but as a pattern for living.

This prayer begins with a recognition of Christโ€™s compassion and mercy. It does not approach Him as an abstract figure, but as One who personally bore pain for the sake of humanity. The phrase โ€œYou who carried the Cross for love of usโ€ anchors the prayer in a concrete historical act that still echoes into the present. Faith here is not sentimental โ€” it is grounded in the reality of sacrifice.

The prayer then turns toward human experience: suffering, trials, hardship, and woundedness. Rather than asking for the removal of all pain, it asks for something more demanding and more honest โ€” strength, patience, and hope. This reflects a mature spiritual logic: suffering is part of life, but how one carries it determines whether it becomes destructive or transformative. Faith becomes the lens through which hardship is endured rather than avoided.

Forgiveness and healing occupy the center of the prayer. Healing is not limited to physical concerns; it explicitly includes the wounds of the soul. This acknowledges that emotional, moral, and spiritual injuries often linger longer than visible ones. The prayer seeks alignment with righteousness โ€” not perfection, but direction โ€” a steady orientation toward what is good, just, and life-giving.

Family and community appear next. Faith is not isolated or private; it ripples outward into relationships and responsibility. Asking protection for loved ones recognizes that spiritual life cannot be separated from daily obligations, care for others, and the fragile networks of human connection.

The closing lines emphasize trust and surrender. This is not passive resignation, but conscious choice โ€” releasing control in favor of divine wisdom. Surrender does not mean abandoning action; it means anchoring action in humility rather than ego.

Ultimately, this prayer is a spiritual training ground. It forms endurance instead of escapism, courage instead of fear, trust instead of control. The Cross is not presented as punishment, but as a path that leads closer to the Father. In a world that avoids discomfort and demands instant relief, this devotion quietly teaches resilience, meaning, and disciplined hope โ€” the kind that holds steady when circumstances refuse to cooperate.

Faith here is not decorative. It is structural.

ALAM NYO BA NA DALAWA ANG ORIGINAL NA NAZARENO?
(Ang Kwento ng Nazareno ng Mayaman at Nazareno ng Mahirap)
