Day 2 — CLOTHE YOURSELF WITH HUMILITY
1 Peter 5:5–6 “Clothe yourselves with humility toward one another.”

Clothing ourselves with humility involves a two-way commitment. It means showing respect to those who are older than us while also being willing to listen to those who are younger. True humility recognizes that wisdom is not determined by age alone and that we all have something to learn from one another.

Peter reminds us that God's approval is far more valuable than human praise. As Scripture says, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." When we choose humility, we place ourselves in a position to receive His grace and favor.

PRAYER EXPLOSION | June 11, 2026

Each of the different characteristics of the Fruit of the Spirit focuses on how we respond to God and how we treat other people. And without self-control the works of the flesh cannot be overcome and the other elements of the Fruit of the Spirit will not be evident.

Therefore, self-control is not a power that you “have to”, but a “get to” partner with God's power within us for self-control.

As we honor and remember the life of our beloved late Sis. Dory Villanueva, who exemplified the values of compassion and service by responding to the needs of our community, the iCare Compassion Ministries Foundation, Inc. of JIL Church Worldwide is launching this Legacy Project.

As part of this meaningful initiative, JIL NBBS-Kaunlaran will hold an 'OPEN HOUSE' activity to share the blessings that God has graciously entrusted to the church.

This event is open to all members, workers, and first-time guests.
We invite you to join us tomorrow at 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM as we celebrate God's goodness and continue Sis. Dory's legacy of love and care for others.
