RIGHTS OF NATURE TRAINING OF TRAINORS| Caritas Palo Building, Palo, Leyte| April 27–29, 2026

This training reminded us to see creation with a childlike heart—with wonder, humility, and gratitude.

Through our drawings and activities, we remembered the places that shaped our childhood and saw how deeply connected everything is: the mountains, rivers, forests, seas, animals, plants, and human life.

To recognize the Rights of Nature is to remember that creation is not merely something to use, but a gift to love, respect, protect, and defend.

May we continue to listen to the cry of creation and respond with courage, compassion, and responsibility.
The childlike heart hears what the proud heart ignores.

The Diocese of Naval, through the Social Action Commission and the Cathedral Parish of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, respectfully extended assistance to the twelve (12) families affected by the recent fire incident in Sitio San Roque, Barangay Larrazabal, Naval, Biliran.

This initiative reflects the Church’s commitment to respond with compassion and solidarity to those in need. May this modest support provide relief and encouragement to the affected families as they begin the process of recovery.

We continue to enjoin everyone to keep them in our prayers and, where possible, extend further assistance

Social Action Directors Meeting
Eastern Visayas Social Action Network
April 27, 2026 | Social Action Center, Archdiocese of Palo, Palo, Leyte

Today, the Social Action Directors of Eastern Visayas gather for a meaningful meeting of dialogue, collaboration, and shared mission in serving the poor, the vulnerable, and communities in need.
This gathering brings together Caritas leaders, social action directors, and partner government agencies, including DSWD, DPWH, and DepEd, to discuss current initiatives, key social and humanitarian concerns, coordination challenges, and concrete action plans for stronger collaboration across the region.

May this meeting strengthen our commitment as one Church and one network, working hand in hand with our partners in government and civil society, so that our service may become more responsive, compassionate, and effective for the people of Eastern Visayas.
Faith in action. Compassion in service. Collaboration for mission.

We were honored to welcome Ms. Bernadette and Ms. Aleth from Caritas Phils to DSAC_Caritas Naval, San Juan Nepomuceno Parish. Their visit focused on providing vital technical assistance to the newly hired staff of our Alay Kapwa Educational Assistance Program (AKEAP).Through their mentorship, the DSAC Caritas Naval team is better equipped to serve our scholars and manage our educational initiatives with excellence. Thank you, Caritas Phils, for constantly walking with us in our journey of service! Thankful as well to our DSAC Director for the untiring support!
