The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines is urging parishes and Catholic communities to celebrate Creation Day, observed each year on the first Sunday of September.

The CBCP issued a pastoral letter and general instruction for the celebration, titled “In Christ were created all things in heaven and on earth,” from Colossians 1:16.

“May this celebration deepen our shared commitment to caring for our common home and inspire our communities to become faithful stewards of God’s creation,” said Msgr. Bernardino Pantin, CBCP secretary general.

THANK A PRIEST ON VIANNEY SUNDAY

Today is Saint John Marie Vianney Sunday. We are asked on this day to support and pray for our priests. Hence, a second collection shall be gathered for the ongoing formation of our priests.

Also, we encourage everyone to greet and say a thank you to a priest dearest to you or someone who has touched your life deeply. Many of them go about their lives and ministry without being thanked enough. Maybe your simple words and gestures of gratitude help fuel more their passion and zeal for pastoral service.

So, thank a priest today!

And pray for more priests!
