The Dangers of Pride

Pride is a dangerous attitude because it makes a person think they are always right and do not need God’s guidance. When pride controls the heart, people often make wrong decisions and follow the wrong direction in life. Pride closes our ears to correction, wisdom, and God’s Word. Instead of trusting God, a proud person trusts their own understanding.

The Bible teaches that pride leads to destruction and failure, while humility brings wisdom and God’s favor. A Christian must guard their heart against pride and learn to stay humble before God. When we humble ourselves, we allow God to guide our decisions and lead us in the right path.

Proverbs 16:18 (KJV)
“Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.”

Proverbs 11:2 (KJV)
“When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.”

Choose humility over pride, because humility allows God to direct your life.

Many people today measure success by money, fame, achievements, or popularity. The world teaches that if a person becomes rich or famous, he is successful. But according to the Bible, true success is not about what we gain on earth, but about where we will spend eternity.

A person may have wealth, power, and recognition, yet still be spiritually lost. Real success is when a person repents, believes in Jesus Christ, and receives eternal life. When someone trusts in Christ, his name is written in the Book of Life, which means he belongs to God and has the promise of eternal life in heaven.

Earthly success will pass away, but salvation is eternal. Therefore, the greatest success in life is not having riches or fame, but having a personal relationship with Jesus and being saved by His grace.

Luke 10:20 (KJV)
“Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.”

Revelation 20:15 (KJV)
“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

True success is not measured by earthly wealth, but by having your name written in the Book of Life through faith in Jesus Christ. ✝️

1 Peter 5:5 (KJV)
“Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.”

Proverbs 16:18 (KJV)
“Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.”

📖 The Main Business of the Church

The primary mission of the Church is not just gathering together, but leading people to Christ and helping them grow spiritually. Winning souls means sharing the Gospel so others can be saved, and making disciples means teaching believers to obey Christ and live for Him daily.

A healthy church does not only add members — it builds mature followers of Jesus who will also reach others.

📖 Matthew 28:19–20

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations… teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.”

➡️ Jesus gave the Church the Great Commission to make disciples.

📖 Mark 16:15

“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

➡️ Winning souls begins with sharing the Gospel.

Before you call yourself a General Overseer, remember the sacrifices of those who came before us.

Do you know that the prophet Isaiah was said to have been cut in half for the sake of the message of God—a gospel we enjoy today? Do you know that John the Evangelist was thrown into a pot of boiling oil for the same gospel of salvation for mankind? Do you know that John the Baptist was beheaded because he preached the truth? Do you know that Peter was crucified upside down?

That is how many of the early Christians died—faithful to Christ until the very end.

Those people gave their lives without building the largest church auditoriums or buying private jets, yet they won many souls for Christ Jesus.

Today, many who call themselves bishops or general overseers cannot move without escorts. No one seems willing to suffer or even die for the sake of the gospel anymore.

So I keep asking: are these people truly called?

Never think that your calling is a way to make money. Your calling is to win souls for God—not to pursue wealth. Sadly, many have become more interested in riches than in righteousness.

Serve the Lord with faith, power, conviction, and faithfulness to God—even unto death.

The responsibility of a father is greater than providing food, shelter, and material needs. A father is called by God to be the spiritual leader of his family. While providing for the family is important, the greatest gift a father can give his children is guiding them to know, love, and follow the Lord.

A godly father teaches his family to pray, read the Bible, attend church, and live according to God’s Word. Children learn not only from what their father says, but from how he lives his life. When a father walks with God, he becomes a powerful example that leads his family toward faith and righteousness.

God desires fathers to lead their homes with love, wisdom, and godly instruction so that their children will grow up knowing the Lord. A father who leads his family to God is building a legacy that will last for generations. 🙏

Joshua 24:15 (KJV)
“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

Ephesians 6:4 (KJV)
“And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.”

“A strong church is built on strong prayer meetings.”

The strength of a church is not measured by the size of its building, the number of its programs, or the popularity of its leaders. The true strength of a church is found in its commitment to prayer. When believers gather together to pray, they show their dependence on God and invite His power to work among them.

Prayer meetings unite the church in faith, humility, and spiritual purpose. Through prayer, the church seeks God’s guidance, intercedes for others, and grows spiritually together. Many revivals in history started when a small group of believers faithfully gathered to pray.

A church that prioritizes prayer becomes spiritually strong because it relies on God’s power rather than human ability.

Acts 2:42 (KJV)
“And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.”

2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 🙏

Marcos 11:24
