Satan was once holy, who was named Lucifer, he once enjoyed the heavenly honors, but through pride and ambition to be the Almighty, fell and together with him the fallen angels, 1/3 of them were thrown out of heaven. Satan is now the prince of the power of the air, and the unholy god of this world, this made him the enemy of God and his Christ.
God is never and will never be the author of sin, it is Satan, he orchestrated all the powers of wickedness and darkness as he rebel against God. He is not only the man’s great tempter and the accuser of the saints.
After he fell from heaven caused of his rebellion to God’s authority, he targeted to tempt the first man and woman that God created. The whole human race fell into sin after the first man, Adam, and the first woman, Eve, sinned against God. After they fell into sin, not only sin and death but curses and bloodshed entered into this world.
With these, 𝐒𝐢𝐧 becomes the mankind’s worst problem, its greatest pain and the root of all evil. Sin is not just acts committed by not conforming to God’s moral law as revealed in Scripture, but that it covers all attitudes of violating man’s love for God, all rebellion and independence from God, and all worship or faith given not to God alone.
Sin as initiated by Satan, pass on to man through his own free will and by this, mankind becomes sinful in nature. Not only was his moral nature grievously injured by the fall, but he totally lost all spiritual life, becoming dead in trespasses and subject to the power of the devil. Sin brought the just wrath of God as all men are born in sin and are completely unable to save themselves from its power and addiction.
Sadly, no degree of reformation however great, no attainment in morality however high, no culture however good, no humanitarian and charitable works and no advanced societies however useful can erase man’s sin, for man are actual sinners in thought, word, and deed.
Neither baptism or other ordinance or religion can make man righteous before God, nor help the sinner to take even one step toward Heaven.
The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ.
