1. Sino ang Holy Spirit?

Ang Holy Spirit o Espiritu Santo ay ang Ikatlong Persona ng Banal na Trinidad — kasama ng Ama at ng Anak na si Hesus Cristo. Siya ay tunay na Diyos.

2. Ano ang gawain ng Holy Spirit?

Ang Holy Spirit ang gumagabay, nagpapalakas, at nagpapabanal sa mga mananampalataya. Siya ang nagbibigay ng biyaya, karunungan, at lakas upang mamuhay ayon sa kalooban ng Diyos.

3. Kailan ipinadala ang Holy Spirit sa Simbahan?

Ipinadala ang Holy Spirit noong Pentecostes, limampung araw matapos ang muling pagkabuhay ni Hesus. Bumaba Siya sa mga Apostol bilang mga dila ng apoy.

4. Ano ang mga simbolo ng Holy Spirit?

Ang mga karaniwang simbolo ng Holy Spirit ay:
Kalapati
Apoy
Hangin
Tubig
Langis o Krisma

5. Ano ang tinatanggap natin mula sa Holy Spirit?

Tinatanggap natin ang Kanyang mga biyaya tulad ng:
Pitong Kaloob ng Espiritu Santo
Labindalawang Bunga ng Espiritu Santo
Lakas upang mamuhay nang banal

6. Kailan natin natatanggap ang Holy Spirit?

Natatanggap natin ang Holy Spirit sa Binyag at higit na pinagtitibay sa Sakramento ng Kumpil.

Dahil Siya ang gumagabay sa atin patungo sa katotohanan, kabanalan, at mas malalim na relasyon sa Diyos.

📖 Today's Gospel (May 24, 2026 – Pentecost Sunday)

Gospel Theme: The Holy Spirit guides, teaches, and strengthens us:

Ngayon ay Linggo ng Pentekostes. Higit kailanman, kailangan natin ng panibagong lakas, panibagong kapangyarihan, at panibagong buhay sa Simbahan sa mga panahong ito. Kailangan natin ng isang bagong Pentekostes upang muling magdala ng pagbabago at kasiglahan sa ating pananampalataya.

Kailangan nating muling hipan ng Panginoon ang Kanyang Espiritu Santo upang mabuksan ang ating mga nakasarang pintuan at maalis ang takot sa ating mga puso. Higit kailanman, kailangan nating sambitin ang panalanging:

“Halina, Espiritu Santo…
Halina, Espiritu Santo…
Halina, Espiritu Santo!”

We are now officially presenting the 1st batch of candidates for the Search for Reyna Elena 2026 in celebration of our Sta. Cruzan.

Be part of this beautiful and meaningful tradition as one of the sagalas, and get the chance to be crowned as this year’s Reyna Elena—a symbol of faith, grace, and devotion.

Each candidate will be given envelopes for fundraising:

👑 The candidate who gathers the highest total donation will be declared as Reyna Elena 2026.

💰 All donations collected will be fairly shared:
✔ 50% – Church
✔ 50% – Chapel/ Organization and Candidate (Reyna)

🙏 The proceeds of this fundraising will be used for the continuous construction of our Parish Church

𝙈𝘼𝙔 24: 𝙋𝙀𝙉𝙏𝙀𝘾𝙊𝙎𝙏 𝙎𝙐𝙉𝘿𝘼𝙔 𝘽𝙄𝙍𝙏𝙃𝘿𝘼𝙔 𝙊𝙁 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘾𝙃𝙐𝙍𝘾𝙃

𝑯𝑨𝑷𝑷𝒀 𝑩𝑰𝑹𝑻𝑯𝑫𝑨𝒀, 𝑶𝑵𝑬, 𝑯𝑶𝑳𝒀, 𝑪𝑨𝑻𝑯𝑶𝑳𝑰𝑪, 𝑨𝑵𝑫 𝑨𝑷𝑶𝑺𝑻𝑶𝑳𝑰𝑪 𝑪𝑯𝑼𝑹𝑪𝑯

We're all familiar with our own birthdays, and we celebrate them because they mark the day of the year in which we entered into this life. But did you know you have a second birthday?

Because you are part of the body of the Church, Pentecost is the Church's birthday, and yours as well. And like any birthday, it's a cause for celebration.

The word Pentecost is Greek and it means "50th day." Fifty days after Easter Sunday, we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and their followers, and the beginning of their Earthly ministry to make disciples of all nations.

Pentecost is also a Jewish holiday, which the Jews use to celebrate the end of Passover. Jews celebrate the gift of the law to Moses at Mt. Sinai on this day. But we, as Catholics celebrate the birth of our Church.

At Pentecost, the Apostles and their followers were gathered in a room. Jews from all over the world were gathered with Peter, the leader of the Apostles and the Eleven. At this time, a great wind blew and a flame appeared as a tongue of fire, which split itself into many individual flames above the heads of all those present. The Holy Spirit came upon these people and each began to speak in tongues. Despite the fact many had no common language, they were perfectly able to understand one another.

Others who were no so blessed, accused those speaking in tongues of being drunk, but Peter arose and addressed the crowd, explaining that it was only 9 o'clock, and that this phenomenon was not intoxication, but rather this was the work of the Holy Spirit, prophesied in the scripture.

Peter then called all those present to be baptized and about three thousand people were baptized that day.

These people were among the first Catholics, and Peter is the first pope of the Catholic Church.

The symbols of Pentecost are the flame, wind, and the dove, which represents the Holy Spirit. The color of Pentecost is red and the priest wears red vestments on this day. Parishioners are also invited to wear red on this day. Red decorations as well as celebrations are appropriate, similar to any other birthday. Special prayers are often said just for Pentecost.

Happy 60th World Communications Sunday and Feast of the Ascension of the Lord!

As we celebrate the Ascension of Jesus into heaven, we are reminded of His final command to His disciples:

“Go into all the world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.” — The Gospel of Mark

Today, this mission continues through social media and digital communication. A heartfelt salute to all Catholic admins, content creators, and digital evangelizers who generously use their time and talents to spread the Good News online. Through your posts, reflections, and messages of faith, you help bring Christ’s truth, hope, and love to countless hearts.

The Ascension of the Lord is not a farewell, but a mission. Jesus returns to the Father and entrusts us with the responsibility of making Him known to the world.

Let us recognize the power of communication in fostering unity and understanding. Together, we can proclaim the Gospel, inspire others, and bring hope to those in need.

May every post, caption, and shared message become a witness to the risen and ascended Christ, who remains with us always.

Ang Ebanghelyo ngayong Linggo ay nagpapaalala sa atin na si Hesus ay muling nabuhay hindi lamang upang dalhin sa atin ang kaligtasan, kundi upang ipadala rin tayo sa isang misyon — ang humayo at gumawa ng mga alagad, ibahagi ang ating pananampalataya, at ipahayag ang pag-ibig ni Kristo sa buong mundo.
