Another reminders and rebukes for me and for you as well.
Now i realized why most of the Israelites are want to go back in the Egypt.
As we read the Book of Numbers, we see the Israelites complaining to Moses,
Life was better in Egypt!
At least we had food to eat. Here in the wilderness, we have nothing we are suffering!
God made me realized that our brains naturally repeat familiar patterns.
Kasi nong nahihirapan na sila naalala nila ulit yung dating buhay nila.
They remembered the comfort, the food, the moments that felt good.
But they forgot the chains. They forgot the whips. They forgot the slavery. They forgot how they cried out to God in pain.
Tinugon ng Diyos ang prayer nila inalis sila doon, sumunod sila pero nong nahirapan na sila inalala nila ang mga iniwan nila.
Nong nasa wilderness na sila at nahihirapan na naisip nila yung masasayang moment nila sa Egypt kahit hirap na hirap talaga sila don.
Nong nasa wilderness sila nakalimutan nila na nasa daan na sila patungo sa promiseland.
Galatians 5:1
"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."
Ganon pala Kasalanan noh,kapag nahihirapan ka, kapag pressured ka na, kapag hopeless ka na, ipinapaalala nito yung dating masaya ka nong wala kapa sa Lord.
๐The greatest battle isn't only in our minds. It's in our hearts.
Mag uumpisa muli sa simple desire na alalahanin ito, sa simple curiosity hanggang sa magawa muna ito ulit.
The Israelites forgot the very reason God delivered them from Egypt, Inalis sila ng Diyos doon dahil may magandang buhay na inihanda Siya para sa kanila.
๐But every promise requires a journey they had to walk through the wilderness before entering the blessing.
Hindi ka ilalabas ng Diyos sa kasalanan para ibalik ka ulit doon.
Pero kapag wala kang panalangin, kapag mahina ang pananampalataya ang nakaraan ay laging magmumukhang mas maganda kaysa sa daan na tinatahak mo ngayon.
Mga Hebreo 11:15-16
[15] Kung nasa isip nila ay ang lupaing kanilang pinanggalingan, may pagkakataon pa sana silang makabalik doon. [16] Ngunit ang hinahangad nila'y isang lungsod na higit na mabuti, ang lungsod na nasa langit. Kaya naman hindi ikinahiya ng Diyos na siya'y tawaging Diyos nila, sapagkat sila'y ipinaghanda niya ng isang lungsod.
When your heart is empty of Godโs presence, it naturally starts filling up with whatโs familiar even if itโs destructive.
A heart that doesnโt pray is a heart that will always look back.
Even if you are in your wilderness moment when your heart is full of faith and prayer you know that the best is never in the past it is always ahead, in Jesus.
๐God never brings you out just to leave you empty. He brings you out so He can bring you into something far greater.
You were not created to go back to chains. You were created to walk forward into His promise.
Keep walking.
Keep praying.
Keep trusting.
Your Promised Land is closer than you think.
Philippians 3:13-14
"Brothers and sistersโฆ one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me."
