The night before the cross, Jesus sat at a table. 🍞

He knew Judas would betray Him. He knew Peter would deny Him. He knew every disciple would scatter.

And still, He took the bread.

In 1 Corinthians 11:23, Paul says, "I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you." Holy Communion isn't a ritual we repeat out of habit. It's an invitation to remember a love that stayed at the table, even when it was betrayed.

This Sunday, come and learn what Holy Communion really means and why Jesus asked us to never forget. You don't need to have it all together. Just come as you are. 🤍

Life is 10% what happens to you, and 90% how you respond. Sunday's message took us past that familiar line to the question underneath it: what is actually inside us when the pressure comes?

Here is the heart of what we learned:

🔹 The Word is a mirror, not just information. Hebrews 4:12 says God's Word is alive and active. It reaches our thoughts and attitudes, and we are meant to look into it honestly. The Pharisees searched the Scriptures in John 5 yet missed the One they pointed to. Knowing the Word is not the same as being changed by it.

🔹 Truth is our attitude, and it is the light of our life. To ignore the truth is to lose our way. But truth doesn't come to condemn us. It comes to lead us, "a lamp to my feet and a light to my path" (Psalm 119:105).

🔹 Knowing yourself is not enough. Age gives us experience, but a wrong habit that is never questioned and never corrected doesn't change with time. We are quick to give advice to others, yet when the problem is ours, our true response shows. Pride is the invisible sin, and only God can change us from the inside out. That is His promise in Ezekiel 36:26: a new heart and a new spirit.

🔹 Talent opens the door. Discipline keeps us faithful. Passion starts the journey, and consistency sustains it. A gifted person without discipline is wasted potential.

🔹 Forgiveness lightens the load. Unforgiveness is a mental load that weighs on our emotions. Forgiving is a favor to ourselves, a way to unload stress and refocus on the solution.

Three steps forward:
1️⃣ Self-awareness: see the problem
2️⃣ Accountability: admit the mistake
3️⃣ Willingness: decide to change and keep growing

Where the Word is allowed to shape our attitude, and our attitude reflects the truth, that's where real, lasting change begins.

Talent gets you noticed. Discipline keeps you standing. Which one are you building?

Jesus called out the Pharisees for this exact trap: "Search the scriptures... they testify of me" (John 5:39). They knew the Word inside and out, memorized it, taught it, quoted it, but refused to actually come to Him for life (v.40).

That's the danger of information without transformation. Even Moses, Jesus said, wrote about Him (v.46) the truth was right in front of them the whole time.

Talent can open the door, but discipline is what makes you faithful once you're through it. A gifted person without discipline can be a wasted potential. Knowing the Word isn't the finish line.

🔥 WHEN LIFE PUTS YOU UNDER PRESSURE… WHAT ARE YOU MADE OF?

Are you CLAY or WAX? 🏺🕯️

Both can be shaped, but they respond differently when pressure and heat come.

In 2 Corinthians 4:8–9, Paul reminds us that we may be “hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”

Life will bring pressure. Trials will come. There will be moments when we feel like we’re being stretched, tested, and pushed beyond our limits.

But the question is: Will the pressure break you, or will God use it to shape you?
