The kind of prayer the Lord Jesus Christ demonstrated in Hebrews 5:7 was not merely an expression of burden for us to imitate.

It revealed the depth of His desire to fulfill the will of the Father, even unto the cross, for the salvation of mankind.

That is why His prayers were filled with groaning, cries, loud supplications, and tears, because He carried the weight of God’s will for humanity.

This kind of prayer must return to the Church.
