Today, the Church joyfully celebrates the Memorial of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary, observed eight days after the Solemnity of her Assumption into Heaven.

Maryโ€™s crown, often represented by twelve stars, beautifully expresses her dignity as Queen. Inspired by Revelation 12:1, the twelve stars symbolize the fullness of Godโ€™s people, recalling the Twelve Tribes of Israel and the Twelve Apostles.

Maryโ€™s queenship is not a reign of worldly power or authority. Rather, it is a queenship rooted in humility, loving service, maternal care, and faithful intercession. As our Queen and Mother, she continually guides us closer to her Son, Jesus Christ, the true King of Heaven and Earth.
