OFFICIAL STATEMENT OF THE DIOCESE OF SAN PABLO
With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis on Easter Monday at 7:35 AM (Rome time).
We invite all priests, religious, and lay faithful to join us in praying for the eternal repose of his soul.
Let us thank the Lord for his life, his humble witness, and his loving service to the Church.
“Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace!”

Instructions Regarding the Demise of Pope Francis:
1. All churches in the diocese are to toll their bells for 1 minute at 5:45 PM.
2. Priests are instructed to use this formulary for the Eucharistic Prayer at Mass:

Remember, Lord, your Church,
spread throughout the world,
and bring her to the fullness of charity,
together with Marcelino Antonio our Bishop
and all the clergy.
Remember your servant FRANCIS
whom you have called
from this world to yourself.
Grant that he who was united with your Son in a death like his,
may also be one with him in his Resurrection.
