✨ A CELEBRATION OF FAITH, GRATITUDE, FRIENDSHIP, AND SERVICE

It’s a wrap AUGUST, HAPPY ALTAR SERVERS MONTH KAKABSAT!

The Altar Servers celebrated meaningful and memorable moments through the Thanksgiving Mass, Parents’ Recollection, Vocation Campaign, Altar Servers Day Celebration, Mini Pageant, and Friendship Games.

Special thanks to ICMS Vigan City for conducting the inspiring Vocation Campaign, encouraging everyone to listen to and respond faithfully to God’s call.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. and Mrs. Peñaranda for facilitating the Recollection for Parents, sharing meaningful insights that strengthened faith, love, and unity within our families.

The Altar Servers Day Celebration was also made more joyful through the exciting Mini Pageant and Friendship Games, bringing together the altar servers of NNHS and ICMS Vigan City in a spirit of friendship, unity, and camaraderie.

Special thanks to Mr. John Kherwin Rejano, RMT, for sharing his inspiring testimony and encouraging our altar servers through his experiences and words of faith.

Together, these celebrations reminded us that being an altar server is not only about serving at the altar but also about building faith, friendship, family, and a deeper relationship with God.

“Here I am, Lord; send me.” ✨

𝐴 𝑔𝑒𝑛𝑢𝑖𝑛𝑒 ℎ𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑡 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑜 𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑣𝑒.

We serve with LOVE, because we are grateful for the opportunity to serve God. We serve with COMPASSION, because we learn to care for others.
We serve with COMMITMENT,because true service means showing up, doing our responsibilities, and remaining faithful even when it becomes difficult. And we serve with GENUINENESS, because our service should come from a sincere heart, not simply from wanting recognition.

The greatest altar servers aren't necessarily the ones who are always seen.

They are the ones who quietly say: “I am here. I am willing. I will serve.” ❤️‍🔥

𝑊ℎ𝑜 𝑠𝑎𝑖𝑑 𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑣𝑖𝑛𝑔 ℎ𝑎𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑏𝑒 𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑜𝑢𝑠 𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒?

Altar servers also enjoy outings, bonding activities, celebrations, conversations, food trips, and unforgettable moments together.

These moments allow us to see each other beyond our roles at the altar.
We discover each other's personalities.
We share stories.
We laugh at silly things.
We encourage one another.
We make memories.

And somewhere along the way, our fellow servers stop being just co-servers and become brothers and sisters. Because sometimes, the greatest blessing of serving is not only the opportunity to serve God, but also the people God allows us to serve alongside.

𝑌𝑒𝑠, 𝑎𝑙𝑡𝑎𝑟 𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑠 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑠𝑡𝑢𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠 𝑡𝑜𝑜! 📚

We study for exams, complete assignments, attend classes, and work toward our dreams. But our commitment to excellence doesn't stop inside the classroom.

We also strive to excel in our ministry.
We learn to follow instructions.
We respect the rules.
We arrive on time.
We take our responsibilities seriously.
We listen and cooperate.
We remain disciplined even when no one is watching.

Because being excellent isn't only about getting good grades.
It's also about becoming a person who can be trusted to serve. 🌟

Behind every smooth procession, presentation, celebration, and program are hours of practice, preparation, and teamwork.

We practice our serving.
We practice our presentations.
We rehearse our programs.
We correct our mistakes.
We try again—and again—and sometimes… again!

Because an altar server learns that excellence doesn't happen by accident. It happens through preparation, patience, and perseverance.

“READ THE WORD, LET FAITH BE HEARD!”

Did you know that altar servers are also students of the faith?

Being an altar server is not simply about memorizing where to stand or when to ring the bells. We also take time to understand why we serve and whom we serve.

Through Bible sharing, faith formation, reflections, discussions, and learning sessions, we discover the meaning behind our service and learn how God's Word can be applied to our everyday lives.

We don't just serve with our hands, we also serve with an informed mind and a faithful heart. 🤍
