"IF YOU DON'T LIKE YOUR PASTOR OR MINISTRY"

Pastors don’t quit because they have a lack of faith in God. They don’t quit because they don’t believe in the calling God has placed on their life. Most don’t even quit because of financial reasons.

Pastors quit because they are overwhelmed with mental exhaustion, heart attack or even stroke, thus even didn't quit- died instead.

Until you are a Pastor you’ll never fully understand what it’s like to carry spiritual burdens for people getting up in the middle of night, praying for your family of faith, awakened in the middle of night with someone on your heart, overwhelmed with concern by a persons absence or distance.

His mind is continually occupied with the presentation of the upcoming Sunday message - how to preach it, what to teach on, how do we apply it?

He is getting critiqued on a continual basis, being told you need to do better or that some areas of the church simply need to be better.

PASTORS: invest their whole life into people and yet people will turn their backs on their pastor at the first sign of a storm, usually without a conversation.

PASTORS: stand in the middle of disputes.

PASTORS : stand in the middle of gossip.

PASTORS : counsel marital conflicts or broken marriages.

PASTORS : comfort those who have suffered loss.

PASTORS : navigate the waters of imperfect people with a desire to see each one thrive in their faith. They long for spiritual breakthroughs.

PASTOR : craves the very best for you. All of this, while trying to battle their own flesh and grow in their own relationship with God.

PASTORS : see the posts.

PASTORS : hear the whispers.

PASTORS endure the negativity.

PASTORS are continually caring for the sheep while fending off the wolves.

PASTORS : pour out and pour out - rarely being poured into.

What keeps a faithful Pastor going?

Primarily, his motivation not to quit comes from the love of Christ, the guarantee of our body’s resurrection and the day of reckoning at the Judgement Seat of Christ… 2 Cor. 5:1-21

Secondarily, it is YOU…

YOU - the person who is genuinely hungry.

YOU - the person who worships with passion and freedom. You - the teenager who is striving to be a follower of Jesus.

YOU - the single mom who understands the beauty of the hope found in Christ.

YOU - the one who walks through the door for the first time because you’re in search of peace, hope, and community.

Pray for your Pastor.

Pray for his wife.

Pray for his children.

Serve with your Pastor.

Talk with your Pastor.

Appreciate your Pastor.

Encourage your Pastor.

They are human.

They need you more than you think.

They need someone like you who will lift his arms for you to win the battles of life.

Matthew 5:13 You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

ARE YOU A SALT OR AN lNSULT?

SALT does not need to look like other Ingredients, and sends out no Aroma like other Seasonings, but without it the Soup is Tasteless.

Men of True Impact don't Fight for Position, Visibility or Appearance.

Their Results Speak for them not their Propaganda.

You don't need to Shout to be heard, People keep quiet to listen to Intelligent People.

Salt Maintains its Integrity Amidst Pollution.

Have you seen where a Salt buyer demands to taste it before buying because Salt has proved its Integrity over the Ages.

If you will need to Swear before People can believe you, you lack Integrity.

Is your Life like Salt to the Earth or an Insult?

The Easiest and only way Salt can lose its Taste is when it mixes with too much of anything. So Watch your Associations with people without noble values.. Salt is very precious and should not be wasted.. STAY PURE.

"MAINTAIN YOUR DIGNITY"
If one day, we all are allowed to put our problems on a table and exchange them, I'm sure that after a few minutes, everyone would silently take back their own & leave the table. There is no such thing as a perfect life, nobody has it all together. Just as our faces are different, so are our problems.

Never be envious of what someone else has. You don't know the price they paid to get it and the price they are paying to keep it. You don't own half of the problems in this world. While you are discreetly wishing to be like the other person, Someone else is seriously praying for that life you take for granted. Sometimes the people you envy, are actually wishing they could have the life you live.

Be contented and cherish what you have.
You can be anything you want, just don't be ungrateful.

CHURCH MEMBERSHIP ETHICS

1. BE A MEMBER OF ONLY ONE CHURCH. The principle is simple. You cannot belong to two churches at the same time or you will love one and hate the other or be devoted to one and despise the other (Matthew 6:24, different contexts, same principle).

2. RESPECT OTHER CHURCHES -- do not invite their members to join your church (even if your church is better than theirs). Smaller churches have lots of unique challenges and getting members from them won't be of any help to them. Don't be lazy -- win souls! There are countless people who do not have a relationship with Christ -- go for them!

3. HELP MAKE YOUR CHURCH BETTER, not transfer to another church.

4. STOP LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT CHURCH -- there is none!

5. MAKING SUGGESTIONS - When you are a member of a church you have the right to make suggestions. However, when you make suggestions you also must be willing to be part of your suggestions. And when your suggestions are not carried out, do not be offended and go about sulking. Suggestions are simply that, suggestions!

6. YOUR ACTION AFFECTS OTHERS - Be careful what you do because what you do affects others too. The Church is the Body of Christ and we are all members of that body. Our actions affect others just as a problem in one organ in the body affects the whole body. Of course, it takes maturity to understand this.

7. TITHES - Give your tithes or financial support to the church you are a member of and not to an organization or church abroad or somewhere else. Just to humor you, let me give you this illustration. Wouldn't it be absurd (even tragic) if you eat at Jollibee and pay at McDonald's?

8. WEDDING CEREMONIES, ETC - If you are getting married, the ethical thing to do is have your own pastor officiate your wedding, unless, of course, he has no license to officiate weddings. This is also true for child dedications, dedication or blessing of houses/cars/businesses and others.

9. WHEN YOU HAVE TO LEAVE - There are times when members have to leave a church and transfer to another church. When this happens, leave in peace. Settle things with the leadership of the church you are leaving. Ask their blessings on your decision to leave. Don't just go AWOL. God cannot bless you if you leave that way (Matthew 5:23). Do not influence and encourage others to transfer with you. Do not badmouth the church or the leaders of the church you are leaving.

10. ESCAPING - Do not leave a church simply because the leaders of the church confronted you of your sin. If they don't care about you, they wouldn't waste time confronting you. Galatians 6:1,2.

11. PERFECT PASTOR - Do not leave a church because the pastor is imperfect. Be sure the church you are going to has an imperfect pastor, too! God cannot use a perfect pastor because there is none!

12. INTENTIONAL DISCIPLESHIP - Do not leave a church because of Discipleship. Check your reasons for leaving. Find biblical support for your reasons. If you can find none, maybe you should reconsider. An emotional reason cannot be a valid reason. As Christians we are governed by the Word of God and not by our emotions.
