"False theology makes Godโ€™s foreknowledge of our believing the cause of His election to salvation; whereas, Godโ€™s election is the cause, and our believing in Christ is the effect.

The fact is that โ€œforeknowledgeโ€ is NEVER used in Scripture in connection with events or actions; instead, it ALWAYS has reference to persons. It is persons God is said to โ€œforeknow,โ€ not the actions of those persons.

God did not elect any sinner because He foresaw that he would believe, for the simple but sufficient reason that no sinner ever believes until God gives him faith, just as no man sees until God gives him sight."
