We were touched by the highlights of our Young Service Missionary shared from the latest general conference. Our hearts are full of love for President Dallin H. Oaks, and we wholeheartedly support him, the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and all our church leaders.

"The Lord does not ask for perfection all at once; rather, He asks for honest and broken hearts, humble spirits, and a willing readiness to keep our covenants—even when it requires sacrifice"
- A Peculiar Treasure
By Elder Alan R. Walker Of the Seventy

"This qouted prophetic message by Elder Walker is a constant reminder for us that the Lord is not measuring how perfect we are today. Rather, he is looking at how willing we are to keep moving toward Him.
Sometimes we feel like we’re failing because we’re not yet who we’re supposed to be. But the Lord honors effort. A broken heart is not weakness, it’s evidence that we’re trying to change. The Lord does not ask for a big change all at once nor a great sacrifice. It begins with small, consistent efforts: praying even when we are tired, studying even when we feel bored, and serving even when we go unnoticed. These simple acts mean the most as we sacrifice to keep our covenants." – Elder Rapi, YSM.

Another wonderful District Council Meeting in the books! There’s nothing quite like gathering with fellow service missionaries to sharpen our focus and strengthen our spirits. 🥰

"Isa sa mga tumatak sa akin sa DCM training ni sister Dante kahapon is about this verse D&C 60 :2 But with some I am not well pleased, for they will not open their mouths, but they hide the talent which I have given unto them, because of the fear of man. Wo unto such, for mine anger is kindled against them

Dahil sa verse na ito na remind ako na huwag matakot na mag open mouth sa mga tao kagaya na lang sa pag minister natin sa mga tao sa service natin kasi we have to previlage to preach the gospel to them." – Sister Salon, YSM.

How firm is your foundation?

"Spiritual security will always depend upon how we live, not where we live." – President Russell M. Nelson

From prep-work at the Feeding Program to supporting the vital mission of the Red Cross, our service missionary is seeing firsthand what it means to be the hands of Christ. Whether it’s a warm meal or a helping hand behind the scenes, every small act makes a ripple.

Good job, our YSM's!! 🫶

Strengthening the Lord’s kingdom one act of service at a time, our Philippines Naga Mission Young Service Missionaries are standing tall and heart-centered! While our group photo feels a little less bright today because one of our service missionary is not there in the frame, our spirit of unity remains completely whole. We are bound by a shared purpose to lift others, and though we are "incomplete" in this picture, we are fully united in our devotion to the Master’s work across Naga.

"And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." — Mosiah 2:17

There is something incredibly special about the brotherhood and sisterhood of the Naga Mission. Yesterday, our Young Service Missionaries had the chance to get their hands dirty and their hearts full by spending the day serving at a fellow missionary’s farm.

Service isn't just about the work we finish; it’s about the love we grow along the way. When we lose ourselves in the service of others, we truly find who we are meant to be.

Seeing the smiles and the progress made today reminds us that no task is too small when done with great love.

Keep growing, keep glowing, and keep serving! ✨

"I, Nephi, having been born of goodly parents, therefore I was taught somewhat in all the learning of my father; and having seen many afflictions in the course of my days, nevertheless, having been highly favored of the Lord in all my days; yea, having had a great knowledge of the goodness and the mysteries of God, therefore I make a record of my proceedings in my days." (1 Nephi 1:1)

Thinking about the opening lines of the Book of Mormon today and how much weight they actually carry. When Nephi wrote this verse, he wasn’t just introducing a book; he was writing from the perspective of an older man looking back on a life that was incredibly difficult. To give a little background, Nephi was a young man living in Jerusalem around 600 B.C., a time of intense political and social unrest. His family was forced to leave their home, their wealth, and everything familiar to wander in a harsh wilderness for years. He dealt with intense family conflict, physical hunger, and the fear of the unknown. So when he says he had "many afflictions," he isn't exaggerating—he lived through literal survival situations and deep emotional betrayal. Yet, he chose to start his record by focusing on the "goodness of God" rather than a list of complaints.

I think we can all see ourselves in Nephi’s shoes when we stop to look at our own lives. We all have our "Jerusalems"—those places of comfort or plans for the future that suddenly get disrupted by trials we never asked for. You might be going through a season of "many afflictions" right now, whether it's a health battle, a broken relationship, or just the heavy weight of daily anxiety. It is so easy in those moments to feel like God has forgotten us or that we are being punished. But the power of this verse is that it shows us we can be "highly favored" and "highly struggling" at the exact same time. Being favored by God doesn’t mean the trial disappears; it means that in the middle of the pain, you are given a "great knowledge" of His goodness.

It’s about those moments when you’re at your breaking point, but then you feel an unexpected surge of peace, or a friend reaches out at just the right second, or you find the strength to get out of bed when you thought you couldn't. Those are the "mysteries of God" Nephi is talking about. Like him, we can choose to acknowledge the hardship while still making a record of the ways God is showing up for us. Your trials don't mean you aren't loved; often, it’s within those very trials that you discover just how much God is actually carrying you.

Look closely at this image. Doesn't life often feel like this—dark, sometimes misty, and full of unknown paths? We long for clarity, direction, and the assurance that we are walking the right way.

This is the profound beauty and timeless promise of Psalm 119:105: "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."

God’s Word isn't just a suggestion; it is the essential illumination for our journey. A lamp shows us the next steps right in front of us, giving us immediate clarity in confusing moments. A light on our path assures us of the greater direction and the destiny He has set for us.

In a world full of noise and distractions, making time to seek the Lord's voice daily is the most crucial decision we can make. It is how we exchange confusion for confidence and doubt for divine assurance. When we open the Scripture, we are inviting the Holy Spirit to transform our character, guard our steps from hidden pitfalls, and sustain our souls with eternal truth.

Let us commit right now to quiet our hearts and open the Book– the Holy book. The light is waiting for you! Don't navigate the darkness alone; let His Word guide you, one illuminated step at a time.
