The Commission on Liturgical Music (ComLitMus) of the Archdiocese of Caceres successfully held the 5๐ฉ๐ ๐๐ช๐ข๐ข๐๐ง ๐๐ค๐ง๐ข๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ & ๐๐ค๐ง๐ ๐จ๐๐ค๐ฅ ๐๐ค๐ง ๐๐๐ฉ๐ช๐ง๐๐๐๐๐ก ๐๐ช๐จ๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐จ on 16 May 2026 at the Holy Rosary Major Seminary, Naga City, drawing 183 participants from various parishes and institutions across the Archdiocese.
Anchored on the theme โ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฝ๐ค๐๐ฎ, ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ค๐๐๐โ, the annual formation program forms part of the Archdioceseโs continuing commitment to strengthen liturgical ministry, especially in light of its 75th Anniversary of Elevation as an Archdiocese, celebrated under the banner โGabos Kaayon, Gabos May Gibuhon.โ
The day opened with registration and fellowship at 7:00 AM, followed by an opening prayer. Fr. Xavier R. Amoroso, S.Th.L., M.A., Director of the Commission on Liturgical Music, delivered the plenary talk โOne Body, One Voice.โ He emphasized unity in mission, the spirituality of service, and the call for musicians to become instruments of harmony in their communities.
A health break followed, leading into the plenary workshop โMany Gifts, One Mission.โ This segment highlighted practical demonstrations and shared experiences from two parish choirs:
โ Laudate Dominum Choir of Our Lady of Peรฑafrancia Parish, Naga City
โ Metanoia Choir of St. Rose of Lima Parish, Anayan, Pili
Their performances served as springboards for a rich exchange of best practices, showcasing how choirs can better support congregational singing, improve vocal blend, and manage rehearsals with greater collaboration.

โ Mrs. Amelia Ambion (Metanoia Choir)
โ Mr. & Mrs. Jay and Christine Reyes (St. Anthony of Padua Choir, Camaligan)
After each musical rendition, the speakers briefly shared challenges they encountered in ministry, such as maintaining vocal unity, encouraging active participation from the assembly, and sustaining disciplined practice schedules, along with the practical steps they took to overcome them. Their insights offered participants concrete, relatable guidance for strengthening their own parish choirs.
The formation continued with an Open Dialogue (Q&A) followed by the distribution of certificates. The event concluded at noon with the singing of Salve Regina and lunch, marking another fruitful year of learning, collaboration, and shared mission among the liturgical musicians of Caceres.
