As we continued our series on Developing Patience last Sunday, we were reminded that spiritual growth does not stop in enduring hardship, embracing Godโ€™s perfect time, and extending grace to others.

In 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, Paul reminds us not to lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, inwardly we are being renewed day by day. Our present suffering may feel heavy now, but compared to the eternal glory waiting for us in Christ, these troubles are only temporary.

Because of this truth, we are called to embrace our present citizenship. Philippians 3:20 reminds us that our citizenship is in heaven. This world is not our home. We are strangers and pilgrims on earth, eagerly waiting for the return of our Savior, Jesus Christ. When we remember where we truly belong, patience becomes possible even in seasons of suffering.

We are also called to embrace our present role. As Christโ€™s ambassadors, we represent Jesus in this world. God makes His appeal through us. Our words, actions, and deeds should point people back to Him. The message we carry is reconciliation through Christ.

Lastly, we are called to embrace our present goal. Ephesians 5:8 reminds us that we were once darkness, but now we are light in the Lord. Through faith in Jesus Christ, we have been transformed. Because of this, we are commanded to live as children of light, aligning our lives with Godโ€™s will.

Patience grows when we remember who we belong to, why we are here, and where we are going.

Patience is not developed when life is easy. It is formed when we choose to trust God through hardship, waiting, and relationships.

Last Sunday, we continued our series on Patience by looking at 3 important reminders from the Bible.

We are called to ๐™š๐™ฃ๐™™๐™ช๐™ง๐™š hardship with hope, knowing that we are secured in Godโ€™s hands and that He is with us even in suffering. Romans 12:12 reminds us to be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. Every test of faith can cultivate spiritual maturity when surrendered to God.

We are also called to ๐™š๐™ข๐™—๐™ง๐™–๐™˜๐™š Godโ€™s perfect time. Psalm 37:7 teaches us to be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him. In a world filled with comparison, worry, and pressure, God invites us to trust that His timing is always best. What others achieve apart from God is temporary, but what God does in our lives has eternal value.

Finally, we are challenged to ๐™š๐™ญ๐™ฉ๐™š๐™ฃ๐™™ to others what God has done for us. Colossians 3:12-13 reminds us to clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. The patience and forgiveness we received from Jesus should overflow into the way we treat others.

As we continue growing spiritually, may we remember that patience is not passive. It is trusting God completely while faithfully walking in obedience.

Last week, we were reminded that one of the greatest legacies we can leave is a life of faith that points people to Jesus.

As we studied the lives of Lois, Eunice, and Timothy in 2 Timothy 1:5, we saw how sincere faith can be passed from one generation to another. A faith that is real. A faith that is lived out daily. A faith centered on Christ.

We learned that God calls us not only to keep the flame of faith burning in our own lives, but also to pass it on to others.

We pass the flame of faith by teaching Godโ€™s Word.

We live the flame of faith by becoming examples of Christlike character in our homes and relationships.

We guard the flame of faith by intentionally guiding and discipling the next generation.

This message was also a beautiful reminder for every parent, mentor, and believer. People may forget our achievements, but they will remember a life that consistently pointed them to Jesus.

May our prayer be that the next generation will not only hear about God from us, but truly see Christ in the way we live.

Last Sunday, we celebrated Motherโ€™s Day by honoring and praying for the mothers God has placed in our lives.

As we looked at the life of Mary, we were reminded that a virtuous heart is rooted in surrender to God.

Mary joyfully embraced Godโ€™s calling. She humbly pointed the glory back to Him. She patiently endured pain and uncertainty. And through it all, she faithfully obeyed the Lord.

Her story reminds us that motherhood is more than a role. It is a ministry. It is an opportunity to reflect Christ through love, sacrifice, patience, and faith.

To all the mothers, thank you for allowing God to use your lives to bless, guide, nurture, and encourage others. Many of the things you do may go unnoticed by people, but never by God.

We also recognize that Motherโ€™s Day can carry different emotions for different people. Some are celebrating with joy, while others are carrying loss, longing, or pain. Our prayer is that God would meet every heart with His comfort, grace, and peace.

May we all have the same posture as Mary in Luke 1:46, โ€œMy soul glorifies the Lord.โ€

Happy Motherโ€™s Day ๐Ÿ’

To the joyful moms raising their children day by day.
To the tired moms who keep showing up even when itโ€™s hard.
To the expecting moms waiting with hope and prayer.
To the grieving moms who carry love that never fades.
To the spiritual moms who nurture, guide, and care for others.
To the single moms, grandmothers, and every woman who has loved like a mother.

We see you. And more importantly, God sees you.

We would love to celebrate with you. Join us in our service tomorrow (9:00 AM // 5:00 PM) as we thank God for the gift of mothers and honor the role He has given you.

Last Sunday we talked about embracing patience like Jesus, and it really challenged the way we see waiting.

In John 6:38 and John 7:6, we saw that Jesus did not move on His own timeline. He submitted fully to the Fatherโ€™s will and waited for the right time. Not just any time, but Godโ€™s perfect time. Sometimes we rush because we follow our own schedule, but Jesus shows us that true obedience includes waiting.

We also looked at Matthew 17:15 to 17, where the disciples failed to heal a boy. Even in their weakness and unbelief, Jesus stayed patient with them. He corrected them, yes, but He did not give up on them. That is a reminder that God is patient with our growth too. He does not expect instant perfection, but He calls us to keep trusting and growing.

Then in 2 Peter 3:9, we were reminded that Godโ€™s delay is not neglect. It is love. He is patient because He wants people to come to repentance. What we often see as delay is actually God giving more people a chance to be saved.

The big takeaway is this. Jesusโ€™ patience is a reflection of His love. And if we are following Him, patience should also grow in us.

So when you feel like things are taking too long, remember this. God is not late. He is working. Trust His timing, grow in the process, and reflect His patience to others.

In light of the recent eruption of Mayon Volcano and the ashfall affecting many communities, let us come together in prayer for those impacted.

Lord, we lift up every family facing uncertainty and fear right now. Cover them with Your protection, keep them safe from harm, and provide for all their needs. Grant wisdom to leaders and responders as they care for those affected, and bring strength to every heart that feels weary.

In this moment, remind us that You are our refuge and our help. Even in times of trouble, You remain steady and faithful.

โ€œI lift my eyes to the mountainsโ€”where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.โ€ (Psalm 121:1โ€“2)

May Your peace rest upon our nation, and may hope rise even in the midst of uncertainty. In Jesusโ€™s name. Amen.

Here are few things to remember as we prepare to partake in the Lordโ€™s Supper this Sunday.

It is a sacred time to remember Jesus, His body given and His blood shed for us.

Join us this Sunday as we gather together in worship and communion.

With everything going on today, it is easy to react, argue, or just stay quiet to avoid conflict. But last Sunday, we were reminded: God called us to be peacemakers.

A peacemaker is a person who intentionally works towards bringing peace or harmony to a broken world.

The Bible says in Proverbs 12:20 that those who promote peace have joy. When we choose to forgive, listen, and restore relationships, God gives a kind of joy that is deep and lasting. Not just temporary happiness, but real inner peace.

And peace does something else. It gives stability.

Psalm 119:165 says that those who love Godโ€™s Word have great peace and will not easily stumble. When our lives are rooted in God, we are not easily shaken by peopleโ€™s actions or lifeโ€™s challenges.

Jesus also said in Matthew 5:9 that peacemakers will be called children of God. When we choose peace, people begin to see God in us. Our lives reflect His heart.

It even affects our whole being. Proverbs 14:30 reminds us that a heart at peace gives life to the body. Peace changes how we think, how we respond, and how we live each day.

And peace restores relationships. In 2 Corinthians 13:11, we are encouraged to pursue restoration, encourage one another, and live in peace. And when we do, Godโ€™s presence goes with us.

So, this week...

Where can you choose peace?
Who do you need to forgive?
Who can you reach out to?
