Today marks the 180th Anniversary of the Dedication of The Naga Metropolitan Cathedral. This is to be celebrated as a Solemnity in the Cathedral itself, and as a Feast in all other Churches, Parishes, and Oratories in the entire Archdiocese of Caceres (see Ordo 2023, page ###).
As we celebrate this Solemn Feast, let us pray to our Patron, St. John the Evangelist, that we may remember that the Church is God's People, the Mystical Body of Christ, the Temple of the Holy Spirit, the Temple made up of living stones with Jesus as the cornerstone, and the church building is the special symbol of the Christian community — Our Heritage, Our Identity.
