CHURCH AND CITY UNITE FOR INÂ AND THE PEÑAFRANCIA FIESTA

The Archdiocese of Caceres and the City Government of Naga held the second Executive Committee (ExeCom) meeting this morning at the Archbishop’s Residence, continuing preparations for the upcoming Peñafrancia Fiesta.

The meeting focused on key areas of coordination, including:

• MOU signing, mustering, thanksgiving, and other ExeCom schedules
• Incident Management Team (IMT) updates from the CDRRMO on traffic, security, medical services, emergency response, fluvial operations, and related concerns
• Live coverage and drone regulation updates from the Caceres Commission on Communications (CCCom)
• Activities calendar updates and coordination of major fiesta events
• Other matters essential to ensuring a safe, orderly, meaningful, and well-coordinated Peñafrancia celebration

The continuing partnership between the Church and the local government reflects a shared commitment to serve the people and devotees of Inâ—working together so that the Peñafrancia Fiesta may be celebrated with faith, safety, participation, and communion.

MEDIA PERSONNEL PREPARE FOR PEÑAFRANCIA FIESTA COVERAGE

The Cáceres Commission on Communications gathered media personnel on August 22 at the Archbishop Alberto Hall, Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Peñafrancia for a Media Formation and Orientation in preparation for the Peñafrancia Fiesta, with the theme “Ina: Nurturing a Growing Church.”

This Fiesta, the media will do more than cover events. They can become the andas on which Inâ is carried to those who cannot be there—bringing the prayers, rituals, stories, and faith of Peñafrancia into homes, communities, and screens around the world.

CCCom Director Fr. Francis Tordilla challenged the participants to tell stories that do more than inform—they also should nourish.

Like Ina, who continues to nurture the growing Church of Cáceres through evangelization, discipleship, and mission, our media can nurture faith by telling stories that reveal God at work in the lives of His people.

The andas carries Inâ. The media carries the encounter. Both bring Ina closer to her people.
