Eyes That See, A Heart That Stands Firm

Not everything we see will inspire us.
There are moments when our eyes witness what is disappointing, what is unfaithful, or what quietly contradicts the very values we are called to live. We cannot always choose what we see, but we can choose what we become because of it.
Some allow what they witness to weaken their convictions. Others allow it to deepen them.
A faithful heart does not follow every path it sees. It remains anchored in what is true, even when surrounded by what is not. It remembers that vocation is not sustained by the example of others, but by the faithfulness of God.
In the end, the greatest testimony is not that we saw what was wrong, but that we chose what was right.
Eyes may see many things, but a heart rooted in God knows where to stand.

“If love is true, it will never be afraid of the light.”

Religious life is not just about wearing a habit, serving in ministry, or saying “yes” once.
It is a daily decision to stand in the light of God, even when that light begins to reveal the hidden parts of your heart. Because vocation is not only a calling.
It is also purification.
The light of Christ exposes attachments, fears, pride, and the silent struggles we try to hide even from ourselves.
And sometimes, that light hurts.
Not because God wants to shame us, but because He wants to make our love real.
A love that is true does not run when it is corrected.
It does not hide when it is being formed.
It stays even when surrender becomes difficult.
That is the beauty of religious life.
Little by little, God removes everything that is not Him, until your heart learns how to love freely, purely, and completely.
Because a true vocation is not proven by perfect people. It is proven by hearts willing to remain in God’s light.
