Biblically Practiced

A Baptist church and an Assembly of God church in a small East Texas town just swapped buildings. No money changed hands. Both congregations grew by 30 percent. The whole town is still talking about it.

▶ WHAT HAPPENED
▪️ Southside Baptist Church in Carthage Texas was running about 50 people in a 46,000 square foot building that was draining the congregation's resources while Faith Assembly of God right down the road was bursting at the seams with no room to grow
▪️ Baptist pastor Kirby Hill noticed the problem in October 2024 and proposed a building swap to Assembly of God pastor David Baze and both church boards and congregations voted overwhelmingly to make it happen
▪️ No money changed hands the swap was completed in 2025 and both congregations have since grown by approximately 30 percent

The renovations Faith Assembly needed after moving into the larger building were covered in ways nobody planned for. Random strangers asked to park their RV outside the church during renovations then donated the vehicle worth nearly $80,000 to the congregation. The church also received a nearly two thirds discount on their new property insurance quote.

▶ WHAT THE PASTORS SAID
Baze said his initial reaction to the proposal was shock and disbelief. His board felt the same way. A congregation of 100 moving into a building designed for hundreds more felt overwhelming. But he spent four months seeking God's direction and said he became convinced it was both God's plan and God's timing.

Hill said the most common response he heard from the community was that is the way things ought to be done.

"IF THIS MOVE WOULD HAVE BEEN A BOX WHEN YOU OPENED THE LID YOU WOULD HAVE FOUND CHRISTIAN LOVE COMPASSION COOPERATION TRUST AND THE GOLDEN RULE. THIS SHOUTED LOUDLY TO THE NON-CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY. TO THEM THIS WAS TANGIBLE PROOF THAT CHRISTIAN BROTHERHOOD IS REAL."

▶ WHAT THIS MEANS
Two pastors from different denominations looked at each other's problems and realized they were each other's solution. No lawyers. No money. No competition. Just two congregations deciding the kingdom mattered more than the building. Faith Assembly has started three new ministries since the move. Southside Baptist is growing again. And a town of 6,600 people got a front row seat to what the body of Christ actually looks like when it works.

He spent 25 years building one of Australia's most prominent churches. Then his body completely shut down and he ended up in hospital for nearly a month.

▶ WHO IS JOEL CAVE
▪️ Joel and Ellen Cave founded Glow Church on Australia's Gold Coast in 2013 starting with 350 people at the launch service and growing it into a global network with locations across Australia the United Kingdom and South Korea
▪️ In October 2025 the couple shocked their congregation by announcing they were stepping down from ministry and separating after 25 years of marriage
▪️ The church was clear at the time that the decision was not the result of moral failure or infidelity but rather a need for both Joel and Ellen to focus on their health and family

Now Joel has broken his silence and the picture he paints of what happened is a warning every pastor and ministry leader needs to hear.

▶ WHAT JOEL CAVE REVEALED
In a recent Instagram post Cave addressed his congregation directly and with striking honesty. He confirmed that the pressure of ministry caused both his breakdown and the breakdown of his marriage. In October he ended up hospitalized for almost a month.

"I PUT PASTORING EVERYONE ELSE FIRST AND BY THE TIME I GOT HOME I NEGLECTED MY FAMILY WITH MY TIME AS I HAD NOTHING LEFT TO GIVE."

He was clear once more that his marriage did not end because of betrayal. There was no infidelity. No broken covenant. What broke instead was the man himself.

"BEING UNDER EXTREME PRESSURE MADE IT HARD FOR THOSE CLOSEST IN MY LIFE TO LIVE WITH THE EXHAUSTED VERSION OF ME."

Cave described a pattern that will sound familiar to many in ministry. He kept pushing through. Just one more thing to fix. Just one more need to meet. The people closest to him were raising concerns about his health and he kept going anyway until his body made the decision for him.

▶ WHAT GLOW CHURCH BECAME UNDER THEIR LEADERSHIP
▪️ From 350 people at launch in 2013 Glow grew into a multisite network spanning the Gold Coast Sydney Melbourne the United Kingdom and South Korea
▪️ In 2024 three Sydney locations were released as autonomous churches and the Melbourne location became fully independent under the name SAINTS Melbourne
▪️ All locations operate under the Australian Christian Churches movement reflecting the reach and influence the Caves built over more than a decade of ministry
Cave has not indicated whether he plans to return to ministry. The church board said it remains committed to walking alongside both Joel and Ellen as they focus on healing.

▶ WHAT THIS MEANS
Joel Cave did not lose his ministry to scandal. He lost it to exhaustion. He gave everything he had to his congregation and arrived home with nothing left for the people who needed him most. That is not a story about moral failure. It is a story about a man who loved his church so much he forgot to love himself and the family God gave him first. The warning in his story is not subtle. Ministry was never meant to consume the minister.

Sobrang hayag na ang panahon ngayon, maliban sa gyera,taggutom at mga bagyo .. dumarami na ang mga taong ginagamit ang bibliya para sa kanilang hidden agenda, kundi ang magkapera,imbes na presensya.Nakakalungkot na makita na ang Bibliya na dapat ay sandata para sa kaligtasan ng kaluluwa ay ginagawa na lamang na hagdan ng marami upang makaakyat sa rurok ng katanyagan at yaman.

Ang tawag ng pagiging isang Minister ay isang banal na tungkulin na nakaugat sa pagpapakumbaba, ngunit pinalitan ito ng pagiging isang "Mini-star" na ang tanging hangad ay ang kislap ng kamera, ang dami ng followers, at ang bigat ng bulsa. Ginagamit ang pangalan ni Jesus bilang tatak o brand upang i-angat ang sariling pangalan, sa halip na itaas ang Krus na siyang tanging pag-asa ng sangkatauhan. Ang Ebanghelyo ay hindi isang produkto na ibinebenta para sa pansariling pakinabang ito ay isang libreng biyaya na dapat ay nagdadala sa tao tungo sa pagsisisi at tunay na pagbabago.

Nakakalungkot pa lalo ang katotohanang ang itinuturo nila ay malayo sa mismong itinuturo ng bibliya, may mga sistema at practices silang ginagawa na sobrang hayag na panloloko ,pero nabulag ang mga tao dahil sa kanilang pagpapagaling sa mga sakit, pinapatumba ang mga tao sa simpleng pag angat lamang ng kamay at samahan ng sigaw, pinapakain ang mga myembro ng isang hiwa ng "Cake" At natutumba na kunware. Ang isa sa masaklap,may mga ginagaya silang mga nagawa na ng Panginoong Hesus, gaya ng gagawin kunwareng alak ang tubig na nasa isang galon. At marami pang nakakabahala silang ginagawa na hindi mabuti sa kaluluwa ng tao.

Namumuhay sila ng marangya at gumaganda ang kasuutan,sa katunayan, iilan sa gaya nila ay maraming ginto sa katawan,habang ang myembro ay patuloy sa pag hihirap. May pa travel abroad,pini flex ang mga mamahaling kagamitan na binibili,gaya ng cellphone at sasakyan. Sobrang hawig ang kanilang mga ginagawa sa kung ano ang karaniwan nating nakikita sa ibang bansa na mga Pastor , na binabatikos at humantong sa pagka bagsak, dahil marami ang namulat, marami ang na alarma.

Ang tunay na paglilingkod ay hindi nasusukat sa palakpakan ng tao kundi sa pagsunod sa kalooban ng Ama. Kapag ang isang tao ay naging "Mini-star," ninanakaw niya ang kaluwalhatiang para lamang sa Diyos. Ang mensahe ng kaligtasan ay madalas na natatabunan ng mga salitang nakakaaliw ngunit walang kapangyarihang bumago ng buhay. Ang Bibliya ay malinaw na nagbabala laban sa mga nagtuturo para sa masamang pakinabang. Ayon sa 1 Timoteo 6:5, may mga taong may "isipang masama at wala nang katotohanan. Akala nila'y paraan ng pagpapayaman ang paglilingkod sa Dios." Ito ang malupit na katotohanan sa ating lipunan~ang paggawa ng negosyo sa loob ng bahay ng Panalangin, kung saan ang sentro ay hindi na ang sakripisyo ni Kristo, kundi ang ambisyon ng tao.

Kung kabilang ka sa ganitong mga leader ,takbo na at umalis ... Tandaan mong kahit ang demonyo kayang magpayaman,kayang gumaling ng may sakit, kaya niyang magsabi ng mga kababalaghan , kaya niyang iparamdam sayo na safe ka. Pero ang tanong.. Nasa Whole truth ka ba?

“Most CHRISTIANS TODAY are Modern JUDAS CHRISTIANS”

Judas Iscariot walked with Jesus for three years. He heard every sermon. Witnessed every miracle. Ate at the same table. And went to hell anyway.

Judas had perfect theology.
He could quote Scripture.
He knew Jesus was the Messiah.

But knowledge didn't save him.
Proximity didn't save him.
Religious activity didn't save him.

Only surrender saves.
Judas's fatal mistake wasn't betrayal.
That was just the symptom.
His fatal mistake was keeping Jesus at arm's length while using Him for personal gain.

Sound familiar?
Modern Judas Christians: Consume sermons but never repent.
Use Jesus as life coach, not Lord.
Want Heaven without holiness.
Follow Jesus for benefits, not worship.
Keep one foot in the Kingdom, one in the world.

They pray when convenient.
Read when motivated.
Obey when comfortable.
Surrender when forced.
But they never BOW.

Jesus didn't die so you could improve your life. He died so He could OWN your life. Big difference.

Judas called Jesus "Rabbi" (teacher).Peter called Him "Lord" (master). Judas kept his autonomy. Peter surrendered it. One went to hell. One went to Heaven.

What do you call Him?

You can walk with Jesus your whole life and never KNOW Him.

"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 7:21

Stop being a Judas Christian. Stop using Jesus. Start surrendering to Him.

Your eternity depends on which side of that line you're on.
