As we continue to celebrate National Family Week 2026! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🌈

Last Saturday, we joyfully kicked off the Family Week celebration with a vibrant Color Fun Run at Balatas Development Complex, Naga City (Sept. 26, 2026 | 3PM - 9PM) — livestreamed for everyone who couldn't join us on-site!

The event gathered more than 4,000 runners and families from the Multi-Stakes — Naga, Naga North, Goa, Sipocot, Daet, and Iriga — together with the LGU Naga headed by the CSWDO, friends from interfaith groups, and the community.

Anchored on this year's theme, “Pamilya, Pagkakapantay-pantay at Kapakanan ng Bata” (Families, Equalities and Child Well-being), families truly felt the love and the importance of each other's presence. It was more than just colors and running — it was a celebration of unity.

Families are rooted deeply when we meaningfully celebrate together. 💛

Our heartfelt thanks to all the leaders, participating stakes, LGU Naga, partner organizations, and to every family, member, and friend who gave their time and energy to make this kick-off a success!

Here are some captured moments from last Saturday! 👇📸

𝗡𝗮𝗴𝗮 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲

On August 30, 2026, 912 members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gathered at the Naga Philippines Stake Center for the Stake’s Semiannual Conference, centered on the theme “Walk With Me” from Moses 6:34. Members heard messages from Stake President Michael Diaz and the Stake Presidency, bishops of the different wards, and the mission president and his wife. Speakers shared messages about the Word of God, temple sealing, missionary work, trusting in God’s timing and plan, and recognizing who we are becoming during seasons of waiting and preparation. The conference also included heartfelt testimonies from a newly sealed couple and family.

Following the recent groundbreaking of the Naga Philippines Temple, members were especially reminded of the importance of preparing spiritually for the temple and the blessings it will bring to individuals and families. The conference provided an opportunity for members across the Stake to worship together, strengthen their faith, and renew their commitment to the work of the Lord. As temple construction has now officially begun, the gathering was a timely reminder to “Walk With Me,” following the Savior with faith, patience, and continued preparation.

Groundbreaking Held for the Naga Philippines Temple

NAGA CITY, Camarines Sur — On August 8, 2026, members and friends of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gathered in Concepcion Grande, Naga City, for the groundbreaking ceremony of the Naga Philippines Temple. The ceremony marked an important milestone in the construction of the temple, which will serve Latter-day Saints throughout the Bicol Region and bring temple worship closer to many families in the area. Elder Steven D. Shumway of the Philippines Area Presidency presided at the ceremony, which began at 9:00 a.m.

The occasion was attended by local government officials, community leaders, and representatives from different sectors. Among those present were Naga City Mayor Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo and Congressman Nelson S. Legacion of the Third District of Camarines Sur, together with leaders from the interfaith community, including Fr. Joseph Wilfred Almoneda, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Caceres, as well as representatives from business, education, health, law enforcement, barangays, and neighboring municipalities. Members of the media were also present to cover the historic occasion, reflecting the significance of the temple groundbreaking to the wider community.

For members of the Naga Philippines Stake and neighboring stakes, the groundbreaking represents more than the beginning of construction, it is the fulfillment of a long-awaited promise and a new opportunity to draw closer to Jesus Christ and strengthen families. When completed, the Naga Philippines Temple will stand on a 9.11-acre site at the intersection of Almeda Highway and Almeda Avenue in Barangay Concepcion Grande and will serve members throughout the Bicol Region. The ceremony was a joyful reminder that the temple will be a place of peace, worship, and sacred covenants for generations to come.
