CITA AoG Gibon PURPOSE STATEMENT

A COMMUNITY of BELIEVERS existing to MAGNIFY GOD by REACHING all people, develops them to CHRIST-LIKE MATURITY and equips them for their MINISTRY in the Church and Life MISSION to the world. Through the initiatives of some local churches in Western Aklan Section, a number of believers were already present in Gibon. It was only in 1994 where an official Assemblies

of God church was inaugurated by Christ is the Answer from Malabon City. The compassion felt for the loved one's soul to be saved brought the establishment of a local church there. One member had humbly proposed to the congregation if it's feasible for the church to conduct an outreach program to their hometown. In summer of 1994, despite of geographical barriers, CITA- Malabon allocated their resources and sent its young people in Gibon and started a Daily Vacation Bible School for students. There, a local member opened their home as a place of worship which became the epicenter of God's work not only in Gibon but to the nearby settlements as well. The summer bible school intended for children and teens was extended to their immediate families through scheduled bible studies and prayer meetings. The outreach program had evolved and continued even after summer season. Such favorable response encouraged CITA- Malabon to begin with plans to start a new church in Gibon. The burden in reaching the soul of the loved ones became a vital factor for congregation's growth, even today as attested by different families comprising the church. Like any other churches, Christ is the Answer AoG Gibon has its share of struggles but stand still through God's grace, unity of every brethren and moral aid from other local churches. Today, CITA AoG Gibon is aiming to completely pe*****te its barangay and reach the souls from other barangays as it's continued passion to God and compassion for people's soul to be saved through Christ Jesus.
