Little Brothers of the Congregation of St. John the Baptist Our congregation was founded by Father Vincent Lebbe in China in 1928. He was a Belgian who went to China to evangelize the Chinese people.

Saints Joachim and Anne were saddened because they had no children, and some people even mocked them for their barrenness. Joachim went into the wilderness to fast and pray, while Anne remained at home, pouring out her heart to God. An angel appeared to each of them, assuring them that their prayers had been heard and that they would have a child. In time, by the Lord’s mercy, Anne conceived, and the child they received was the Blessed Virgin Mary.......Even when others mock or doubt you, keep praying and trusting in God, for His mercy can turn impossibility into blessing.
