BCBP ALABANG TURNED 42!

Last May, members of BCBP Alabang came together to celebrate 42 years of our chapter! It was an evening of prayer, inspiration, fellowship and celebration.

Celebrating 42 years of a chapter could not have been possible without the pillars of our community - our senior members.

As Cher Halos shared, “Long before many of us arrived, they were already planting seeds of kindness, faith, friendship, and service that continue to shape the beautiful community we enjoy today. Through every season — the joyful moments, the challenges, the celebrations, and the quiet acts of love — they have been there with unwavering support, wisdom, and care.

Because of them, this community is not just a place… it is a family. Their love has guided us, strengthened us, and inspired generations to continue building together with compassion and unity.”

It was not only a night of celebrating our current members, we also welcomed our newest members from BCLP55 🎉 We thank Topet and Chinkee Chan for their service as course leaders and congratulate the entire CLP team!

May our chapter continue to prosper and grow in the many years to come. Happy anniversary, BCBP Alabang!

God, I trust that You have a purpose in everything You do. Help me focus on all that You have done and are doing for me. I want real, authentic joy every day, and I know that comes from real, authentic praise and thanksgiving. Amen.

This past Thursday at our men’s breakfast after dark, we welcomed Orvin Duman from the BCBP Taguig chapter. Orvin shared how many of life’s greatest blessings first arrived disguised as disappointment. From changing schools, failing an important exam, unexpected responsibilities, career sacrifices, and even seasons of drifting away from God, each detour became part of God’s greater plan.

“Sometimes God’s redirection first appears as disappointment.”

What seemed like setbacks eventually revealed God’s faithful hand, shaping his character, strengthening his family, and leading him back to a deeper relationship with Christ. Even joining BCBP for the “wrong” reason became the very place where God transformed his heart.

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.”
— Ecclesiastes 3:11

A beautiful reminder that God’s greatest blessings don’t always arrive wrapped in comfort. Sometimes they come disguised as challenges, failures, or unexpected turns, but when we trust Him, we discover that He has been working for our good all along.

Keep trusting. Keep believing. Keep holding on to God.
One day, you’ll look back and realize that the very things that almost broke you were the same things God used to build

God, thank you for equipping me with everything I need to have faith in You. Help me to move past my excuses and to get my mind off doubts and onto who You are and all that You want to do. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Karlo shared how the pursuit of achievement, wealth, and the next milestone became an obsession. While his career flourished, his marriage, family, and faith quietly suffered under the weight of ambition.

“I had fallen victim to the world’s definition of success. It was never enough. I was always asking myself, ‘What’s next?’”

Everything changed when God allowed him to see that no accomplishment could replace a Christ-centered home. Through surrender, healing, and the steadfast love of his wife, Karlo discovered that true success is measured not by what we possess, but by the peace, love, and purpose we find in God.

“No amount of success at work will be enough to compensate for a failure at home.”

“For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?”
— Mark 8:36

A powerful reminder that our greatest achievements are not found in the things we own, but in lives surrendered to Christ, families rooted in His love, and hearts that seek to give Him all the glory.

We thank N***y and Arwin Umali from the BCBP Taguig chapter for sharing with us at our July’s joint breakfast after dark!

God’s redirections may feel like setbacks, but they are often His way of leading us to what truly matters. When we surrender our plans, prioritize our family, and trust His timing, we discover that His purpose is always better than our own.

As N***y concluded: “Trust God, and let Him be the Captain of your ship. Let go, and let God redirect your life.”

Ines’ story is a reminder that Sometimes God doesn’t answer our prayers the way we expect, but He is always present. His plan is greater than ours, and even through pain, loss, and unanswered prayers, He continues to shape our faith, strengthen our hearts, and reveal His faithful love.

Excerpt from her sharing:

“I prayed really hard for his healing, but my prayers weren’t answered in the way that I wanted them to be. I created a scenario in my head where the miracle that I had been praying for would be granted. It felt so real. But God said, “I have a better idea”. As Isaiah 55:8–9 reminds us: ‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ declares the Lord.”

“We were all able to say our goodbyes and our I love you. Daddy, do you see Jesus? I asked. He mouthed the word, Yes. What about Mama Mary? Again, he mouthed, Yes. With that assurance, we bid him farewell and told him to go and be with them.”
