We, as a country and as followers of Jesus Christ, have reached a crossroads. Each of us need to make a choice. Some choices are temporal; some choices are eternal. We need to be clear about these things or we end up pursuing one thing that can disappoint or devastate us. Join us on May 1 as we take a knee and bow before the Lord who continues to sit on His throne. Let us take a look at the example of the Lord Jesus as He prayed to the Father in John 17. We will let His prayer lead our prayers on that night. Please invite many as we stand in the gap. We hope to pray with you all.

I've always said na kung hindi ako naging follower of Jesus Christ, I most probably be an NPA or vigilante right now. Justice is failing us in many occasions. But being a follower of Jesus has redirected that sense of injustice into a more eternally productive agenda: the salvation of men. It is always comforting to be assured that the injustices done here and now will ultimately meet its consequences when they stand before the Righteous Judge. As Lyn mentioned in one of her messages to family - El Roi, the God who sees partnered with His divine holiness and justice - He will prevail.

As for the killings in Tarlac perpetrated by a heartless police officer, I am extremely horrified but not surprised. The Bible is very clear abt the decay of morals during the last days (which we are in). You can read Romans 1:18-32. It will only get worse. And its all because people continue to choose their own independent way from God. And such depravation of spirit does not always and only manifest itself thru gruesome acts of crime. It can be seen, too, in the choices we make in daily life - anger, marital disputes, sexual relations, cheating in exams or tax, disobedience to parents or authorities, etc. And before hopelessness sets in our hearts, the celebration of Christ's birth every year is a reminder that not everything is a lost cause. Marriage can be redeemed, morals can be restored, character can be made right ONLY IF
- we fully admit that we need rescue
- we embrace with certainty that Jesus alone (and not our good works) can rescue us from our desperate efforts to earn good standing with God
- we accept fully that Jesus is the Son of God sent to die in our behalf in order to pay the penalty of our wrongful declaration of independence from God

If we do these things, then Christmas will have new meaning and His coming to be "with us" will bring new life. And that is the miracle He wants to bestow upon each one of us this season.
