EXPLANATION OF THE LOGO
The logo was designed by Christian Bentulan
The logo of the 40th Foundation Anniversary of our parish depicts a characteristic anchored by the scriptural and traditional bases of our faith as Christians. The dogma of Mary’s divine motherhood shares the biggest part in the celebration as we implore on God’s grace through Mary’s intercession.
➢ The Colors
o The colors of the logo center on royal blue and white. The colors represent the humility and purity of Mary. Mary sets the epitome of humble beginnings. The parish started with her modest act to proclaim the Word of God, thus continue up to this generation. The purity of Mary’s heart touches each parishioner to continue being pure and away from sin.
➢ The Church Façade
o Bayanan’s Church or Mary, Mother of God Parish is known for its genuine structure. The idea of the late Arch. Francisco Mañosa, a national artist for architecture, in the architectural design embodies simplicity and artistic features highlighting Filipino gallantry as carved in each and among its people. The Church is the people; ably represented by the standing edifice, had gone through numerous challenges, difficulties, and triumph. This structure stands tall and became a living witness to the milestones of the lay faithful of Bayanan.
➢ The image of Mary, Mother of God
o The unique image of Mary, Mother of God (or Maria, Ina ng Diyos to the locals) of Bayanan is that of an image of Our Lady, very serene, sitting on a rock nursing the Child Jesus in a Filipina native attire which is one of the most unique in the country. There were two versions of this image that are venerated by the faithful of Bayanan, the original painting placed as part of the present retablo, and its statue, used for processions and public veneration.
